And we must remember, the only time anyone cares about "real people" just like you and I, is when Israel fights back. When Israel is taking daily rockets and suicide bombers and their people being kidnapped, no one seems to care about those "real people" just like you and I. But when Israel fights back...suddenly everyone cares.

I might also point out, that the US is not involved in this war, yet the "blame America first" crowd still tosses out blame to the US.

Because it takes time for situations to develop. Countires do not acquire nuclear capabilities over night, nor do they become a threat to others over night. The world can only go so long with "inaction is the best course of action, always" before *someone* has to finally take action.

Impeach the President over Israel fighting back? Yep, we should stop planning for war and go back to "inaction is the best course of action" and plan for our own demise. We are victims now, we must prepare for consequences and defeat

Actually, they didn't, unless you get your facts from palestinianfacts websites:

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...cquire+land+in+Palestine?"&btnG=Google+Search

Might as well be sourcing the anti-Semite "if Americans only knew"

They had a choice, stay and fight with Israel, or fight with the Arab countries that came into attack Israel. In wars, land is often times taken and usually not given back. Israel made that mistake in 1967.

    History didn't start in 1948.

If Lebanon had nukes than israel would not have dared to attack it , US just wants that no one else can have nukes so that it can continue its bullying of the world uninterrupted

Or, and bare with me here as I enter what may be an altered state of reality for some, they don't want people who openly call for the destruction of other countries and whose religious ideology calls for the killing of Christians and Jews, to have nuclear weapons.

I guess you would have to put yourself in the infidel's shoes to see it from a different perspective.

Much of the problems we are seeing now is a result of a rift between the Shia and Sunni Muslims that was intensified when the United States attacked Iraq without a plan. George Bush did not even know there were two different groups of Muslims until shortly before the war.

Iran supports the Hezbollah, and both are Shia. The Sunnis, who make up 90% of Muslims have not been targeting Israel in recent times, and are very much against the extremism of Hezbollah and other terrorist groups. Now we are in a situation where
    Iraq is dominately Shia
Iran is Shia and would like to see Iraq become Shia ruled
Most other Arab countries do not want to see Shia rule in Iraq
    The US is threatening Iran
Israel is attacking the Shias (Hezbollah) in Lebanon
Sunnis, who were reasonable okay with Israel are now seeing what is happening and not liking it
There is a civil war between Shias and Sunnis in Iraq

All this and George Bush did not even know there were two different groups of Muslims until shortly before the war.

You say there are people that have an ideology of killing Christians and Jews. Well, there are Americans who have an ideology of killing Muslims. (ex. I was at a rest stop the other day and listened to someone tell me the best solution to the problem is just nuke Syria and Iran)

The problem is our leaders did not understand what they were getting into until it was too late. They didn't understand Muslims, and probably still don't. Yes, all sides have done wrong, but the lack of understanding by those who are choosing to make decisions involving war has caused this thing to get much worse, and as a result there are uprisings going on all over the place now, and the threat of terrorism and more war could not be worse than it is now.

Stop trying to argue and debate, and start reading about the Muslim culture and religion, and come to understand there are lots of good people that want peace. Making random statements about all Muslims wanting to kill Christians just demonstrates that you need more education.

I don't make random statements and I certainly do not use "all" in the statements I do make. However, I have noted that some people demand all by using the all card. In this case, you seem to have resorted to obscuring the truth by suggesting I have said "all".

This is unfortunate and can happen when someone who spends little time down in the trenches here, comes down for a little visit without following things on a regular basis. As illustrated by this post, in the last paragraph, from several months ago.

The quran does call for the killing of Christians and Jews. You may view it as "insthensthitive" to be aware of, but it is very important to the context of what is going on in the world. Likewise, Iran's leader has called for the destruction of Israel numerous times. I have noted the scriptures here many times, but to some, being aware is not politically correct.

Sweeping these things under the rug might seem like the politically correct thing to do, but I submit that being aware of them in the broader spectrum can enlighten one to what is going on.

The "blame America first" mentality doesn't cut it here.

America is a great country. Unfortunately, the current administration has proven time and again spin the truth, only to find they have created a situation that is "spinning" out of control.

While I don't believe it is right of Iran to make these statements, I can understand why they would have it out for us after we did our "Regime change" back in the early 70's and installed the Shah.

The current problem with Israel and Hezbullah is a result more of the conflict between Sunnis and Shiites spinning out of control.

I don't blame America. I blame the ineptitude of the Bush adminstration, and it's good to see that not only Americans agree that Bush is not doing a good job with the war, but also the rest of the World. Fortunately, there is some hope that there will be a Regime change in America. You can defend the Bush administration all day long, but you will be a minority in your opinion about how the Bush administation is doing, and blaming America (especially the Bush administration) is not far fetched at all.

I love America and believe we can do better. :)
You may not agree right now, as it seems you are adamantly supportive of a continuance of war, but hopefully you might change your mind in the coming months.

Yes, it's popular and fashionable to dislike Bush. I think everyone knows your position there.

We're talking about Israel here. Note the topic "Iran wants to destroy Israel" There's plenty of time to blame America first, but let's stay on topic here.

And which do you presume Israel is? Sunni, or Shiite? This is an ongoing conflict and this war was started by hezbollah and hamas commiting acts of war against Israel, again. As I've pointed out before, the only time anyone cares about the conflict and innocent civilians is when Israel fights back. If Israel would just take the rockets, the suicide bombs, the kidnapping of their countrymen, then no one would care in the least bit about civilians dying. Until, Israel fights back.

This isn't about Bush. I can appreciate your desire to pop off on Bush, but he didn't instruct hezbollah and hamas to send suicide bombers to Israel, he did not instruct them to capture Israelis across international borders and he did not instruct either to fire rockets into Israel.

I'm not defending the Bush administration; this topic isn't about the Bush administration. This isn't about Bush. Save your Bush Derangement Syndrome for threads that are about Bush. Or if you just can't help yourself, start a new thread and tell the world all your woes about Bush. There's always plenty of opportunity to "blame America first," but this isn't one of them. This is about Iran saying, yet again, they want to destroy Israel.

I love America too. Because of that, I do not take the opportunity in every post to blame it first for everything, always. If self-loathing on behalf of your country is your way of showing love, more power to you ;)

You are saying it is incorrect to talk about the Bush Administation who:
    1) Supplied weapons and other assistance to Iran
    2) Supplied weapons and other assistance to Israel
    3) Provokes Shia everywhere by either threatening them or attacking them
    4) Delivered an emergency shipment of arms to Israel
    5) Shared intelligence data with Israel
    6) Has a known plan in place to use nuclear weapons against Iran

Iran tried to nationalize oil in the early 70's, and 6 weeks later rebels that were financially backed by the CIA attacked the government of Iran ushering in the the Shaw. This is fact, not conspiracy theory.

At the very least Hezbullah being supported by Iran is a side effect of what happened long ago. The United States has a history of creating Regime change in countries where it serves the interest of the United States. We have two new situations in the Middle East where the United States creates a regime change (Afghanistan and Iraq), and where there are now even more Shia who want nothing less than to continue to bring terrorism and destruction to the United States and their allies (Israel!).

There are lots of peaceful people in Israel too, and many are questioning what their government is doing, and rightly so, as the consequences could be worse than they planned.

And just to reiterate, America rocks! :)
But Bush and the policies of his administation are very related to this topic. They just recently discovered there are two main groups of Muslims, and have a sitaution where their predictions about ending a war were completly wrong.

It has always been a fear of many that a Middle East conflict could expand to become a regional or even global war. The Bush administration is well on the way to creating such a situation that will be a detriment to our generation and our children.

Iran has been provoked continually by us, and they don't trust us. Heck, we drew the boundary line after the World War that created the country.

You're not seing my point there.

If there is no one backing the others, I personally think this war will not go further. That why I don't see the urgency US supplying the weapon and also Syria and Iran.

Do you know Hezbollah is a members of Lebanon parliament? If you don't know, then please read more.

Yes, good points. The other poster seems to feel that all Hezbullah are terrorists. But actually, they do a lot of peaceful activities as well (such as build schools and hospitals). It is so easy to say that all members of a group are evil. And this very idea is what leads to a polarity of opinion, and ultimately, war.

I would strongly encourage others to study Hezbullah. Yes, there are some pretty bad dudes in the organization. But there are some that are quite good, and those are the ones we need to be talking to now, and working toward peace.

Who's label or coined the term? Is't the United Nation or just plain o'l US?

We don't need US to policing the world. Enough is enough. Let the United Nation take their action.

Yes today they bulding schools and hospitals and tomorrow they use it to hide weapons
That "group" is well known teror group and teror is to kill and destroyed.

And If some of them really "do a lot of peaceful activities" so where they are?!
Why i didn't saw any of these "peaceful" people deny all Hezbullah war crime?
I didn't saw them even once and they have over 3000 (the number of the rockets Hezbullah fired to Israel) opportunities to do it.
