Hi to all Maybe my question is a bit dated but just want to know how fast should we be building links? I just bought a one-year old domain. How many backlinks per day is too many? 50, 100, 1000?
Personally I think they're all too many to look natural. I'd say no more than 25 links a day, but it depends on how you're getting them. I mean, obviously forums and social bookmarking sites are going to probably give you more backlinks than that, but don't exchange links or submit to directories that fast. -Danielle
when submitting to directories, most of the time the directories take days, weeks and even months to actually post your link. so you shouldnt have any worries about too many directory links per day. forum postings and blog postings...just be natural and avoid spamming and you'll be ok. exchange links with quality sites and do it moderately. if you can hit 25-50 per day, you should be ok so as long as they are of high quality.
Tks for the replies but I am not doing any link exchanges or submitting to directories but rather creating backlinks on profile pages. I guess the links are "live" instantly. In this aspect, how fast can I build my links? Any suggestions, fellow forumers?
Honestly? As many as you think you can reasonably expect to get. And I don't mean by spamming blog comments, directories, forum posts/signatures or social media sites either. I mean getting REAL links, merit-based links (which naturally excludes reciprocal link exchanges). It'll take time, so you will be going at a steady pace, but the quality, relevance, and relationships of those links to your site and the sites linking to them will be so much stronger -- and well worth the signfiicant increase in search rankings.
By aiming for quality links, you should be link building at a slow and steady pace anyways as it takes time to find quality links.
