I am wondering if anybody knows the value of Facebook Apps with x amount of monthly active users. We have several apps with a variety traffic. Here are some examples: Monthly Active Users 511 Application Fans 144 Total Users 520 -------- Monthly Active Users 2450 Application Fans 1248 Total Users 4600 --------- Can anybody place an estimated value on these? By the way, average age is 37 in both apps, mostly female.
Most buyers will look at two things - the "Monthly Active Users" and the coding that went into creating your application. Most simple coding facebook apps fetch anywhere from $50-500. My estimates would be $50-100 for the first, and $200 for the second, MINIMUM. If the coding is very unique, and difficult, then it may fetch a lot more.
Anyone know how how Facebook apps make money? I played with Farmtown for a while, and it was fun for a while, but it cost me nothing to do it - how did I make money for the writers of the app by using it?
For the first one it worth around $70 While for the 2nd one it worth $200 But if you can find a buyer who truly can see the real potential of your apps, then the price will be worth higher.
You are a mile out. You can have an app up and running within 24 hours at a cost of between $100 and $anything. Depending on what the app is. Simple quiz will set you back $100 if its a good quiz it can rake in a few dollars If its an rpg you can make many $1000's
Facebook apps are making more money than you could imagine. The largest games on the platform literally bring in over $50,000 every single day, dead straight. Fortunately, you don't need to have a huge advertising budget to make a lot of money with apps... Even small to mid-sized apps can make really really great money without much effort. Check out this video HERE to see video proof of earnings for a simple Facebook game app that earned over $1600 in less than 7 days. We also didn't spend a dime promoting this app, the money generated was 100% pure profit. We used organic methods to drive every single user to the game, and it's not hard if you know what you're doing. You should also keep in mind that these apps are on complete autopilot and take no maintenance once they're setup! As far as placing value on an app, it's impossible to say without seeing the apps of course... The number of users an app has literally means nothing due to the virality of the platform. If the app is good, it can grow very quickly... So, there are really only three things you should look for when judging the value of an app: 1. Is it a cool application? If you feel that you fit the demographic that you're targeting, you can also ask yourself "would I use this application?" 2. Does it have integrated monetization? Basically... can the app make money? This is of course only if the seller doesn't provide proof of earnings or explain how the app is monetized... By the way, this is directed more towards the sale of apps with small-to-no user-bases. If an app is huge and has a large active user-base, then providing revenue stats shouldn't be an issue. 3. Does the app integrate viral features? Of course, the point of running a Facebook application is to take advantage of the platform's viral channels. If the app doesn't send out Feeds or notifications, etc.. Then how is it different from a website? Make sure there are viral features. If a prospective app meets all of these requirements, then you can be pretty damn sure it's a good investment, provided you will take the time to market the app properly at the beginning... to get it established. You should also note that with many RPG and game apps on Facebook, you CAN earn a direct profit from advertising your app on PPC networks. This means, for example, you could spend $100 on PPC ads one day, and the result will be $150 in revenue. So in short, you can't honestly place a value on an app based solely on the information provided above.... To the guy who said the app with 500 users is worth $70.... We've got about 2000 apps with around 500 users if you want to buy them at that price!
