Yet some want the terrorists doing these things in Iraq to win so they can take over Iraq. One wonders how they deal with such cognitive dissonance.

Do you really think that I enjoy seeing kids getting killed? What needs to change is the mindset of the people. Most of them are confused. The fanatics are the ones in charge. Many Muslims don't know what to believe anymore. You can't change their mindsets while they are being oppressed.

Umm.. where do you come up with this shit?

You just said they had no logical reason to be mad. I just gave you a few examples of why they are mad. What are you confused about now?

You make it sound as if we like the fact that kids die. If they are mad, yes ... I can understand that some of them blame us. But what do you do when you're fighting 60,000 crazies hiding behind women and kids?

I'm mad they died. I'm mad hezbollah hid behind them. And I'm even madder that many here (you know who you are) excuse and turn a blind eye to cowards hiding behind civilians. It just goes to show that those pretending to be "outraged" are not really "outraged" at all. If they were, they certainly would not excuse those that hide behind civilians.

Here's what you just can't seem to understand.

    Begin cycle.

You bomb [insert your typical muslim bad guys here] and in the process you kill 1,000 people's families. Then afterwards you say "well they shouldn't have been by those bad guys, even if those bad guys are hiding next to their houses, oh well.. too bad, tough shit"... then you have the nerve to call them "terrorists" when they get pissed off and seek revenge after you just killed their entire family.

    Repeat cycle.

But there is only a tiny amount of foreign terrorist in Iraq, something like less the 5% of the fighters, the rest are the locals, the people who are fighting are part of the government, the "terrorists" already have people to repersent them in Government, so they kind of already have taken over Iraq.

Most of Iraq supports Hezbollah , they are rooting for them against Israel

What Gtech means is that we can't let the Iraqi's defeat themselves! We have to free them, from themselves! We can't let them win! Don't you understand, the only way for democracy to work is to dictate over them! :D :D

maybe we should put some type of secular dictator in charge, someone who doesn't tolerate all the religious infighting, and doesn't support extremist Islam

Whose fault is it, that the crazies are running their country? Wouldn't you be willing to pay a price for freedom? I know, it's unimaginably horrible to lose a child. There is absolutely no doubt about it. But do you go softer on the enemies among them, because there are women and kids? Do you want to reward them for using them as shields? This is like a hostage situation. In a hostage situation, where the robber refuses to ever leave the bank or let anyone ever get out alive. At what point will you risk taking a shot?

If there were 400 people hostages in a building and a timebomb was ticking, would you risk let's say 40 people's lives to save the other 360?

Are you ready to offer up your entire family as a sacrifice for freedom? How about your neighbors and best friends as well? After they're all murderred you can think us you still have your "freedom" and you'd be a dirty terrorist if you even thought about seeking revenge for your loss. You should just sit there and be greatful we kept you free.

If I thought my daughter's future was with some dickhead Muslim, who can beat her and do whatever he wants ... you better believe that I would take a chance.

Interesting observation and excellent sources ferret. On top of that, these are based on a report by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a conservative "think tank."

    A compelling argument.

You do realize, of course, that would have some validity to it, if we were not paying in excess of $3.00 per gallon for gas. Which US oil company is importing free oil from Iraq?
