how does parking at godaddy work?

    when you buy a domain name,
    godaddy automatically puts up a parked page...
    do you get part of the revenues or what?

    Nope. They keep any/all revenue.

    You have to pay them to earn any revenue. They call that cash parking. Cost is about $3-4 per month.

    or you can use sedo, which is free. However, if there is not much type-in traffic, you can just forget it since the money is low

    It cracks me up that godaddy tries to charge you for their
    pay'd parking services i use sedo and domainhop.

    You can control the look using different templates. Your site will not have to look like the example.

    I would never pay to park my own domain name at any other companies. If some other companies are doing free of charge than why i should bother about it.

    It's really funny that they charge people for parking their domains into their company! Probably they get the 80% of the revenue themselfs, and give 20% to us :)
