To all those web developers out there that want to put their skills to use you can now apply to be part of the united gamerz developer’s team. You will be given your own email address ftp account and anything else you need to get the job in hand done.

As a site dev. We would like you to start off with your own little project. This will allow us to see what your strong points in developing are as well as giving you the opatunty of seeing what working on the site is like and whether it’s something you would enjoy being part of. The project must be related to gaming and it will be given its own sub-domain and test server for you to develop it on.

The project should be made in the site theme / template which will be provided for you. It can be a tool or feature for the site and as mature yet childish as you like. You are free to add your own adsence to your section. Code will be provided for restricting content to certain types of users e.g. registered users, donators and guests.

The position is unpaid yet not un-beneficial. Your work will always be credited on a “credits” page and you can add the site to your C.V. The site management will always be happy to write you a positive reference on how you have contributed greatly and sustained the wellbeing of the site.

To apply please send an email with your past work, ideas for the site and more importantly what you feel you can bring. Send the email to

We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you becoming part of a ever growing team.

Serious developers only, Any questions just ask.

    Regards,

    The united gamerz team

Why would a serious developer want to give up his/her time so that a gaming clan can have a flashy website for nothing but a text link on a website that garners almost zero traffic?

Its not a clan site, its a community site. As the site grows and so dose the user database so will its visits.

If your section dose well, having your own adsence on there FOR LIFE would gain better value than what you could have got doing it for freelance.

Imagine if we got a "team" of serious developers doing the site on the side/spare time, Do you realy think the site wouldent be successfull?

But there's no guarantee that the community will grow. Next week, you could get your account suspended for not paying the bill, or even just decide to delete our links and change the FTP details.

So I ask you again. What benefit does a link on an obscure web page provide to a developer?

If you dont play the lottery, you can not win.

The site is not braking any rules, so we CANT get suspended.

I wouldent change the ftp details, since i would want you to improve your section.

Why would the bill get unpaid? why would i not renew what could be a successfull site?

You able to sale / do link exchange in your section, that could cover costs.

I am happy to put a contract in place, if it would make you feel safer helping.

Totally understand, if the fact I forgot to spell check is enough to stop you (spellings can easily be fixed) then ill respect your opinion.

P.S we all make mistakes. :)
