    over all maybe change your background color can make your site better :)

    ooo... purple (or magenta)? bad choice - better color scheme
    Having borders for the left and right side of your blog would be helpful so it doesn't look all pasted in

    You had done a good start and the banner image is impressive.Add an attractive background color for the body since it is too dark now.
