Some drugs such as heroin are addictive and could make you aggresive. Doesn't alcohol do that too when you're drunk? I don't really get it.
the government makes allot of money off alcohol like lots and lots also they could never make it illegal just impossible. I dont like alcoho I think it has done far more dmage than heroin will ever do although I dont like heroin either my advice smoke weed and make sweet love then the world will be a better place
Well, first the government does make money off it. Plus alcohol is considered more of a "socially acceptable" drug than hard drugs. When you look at drugs, you need to know that their damaging effects are NOT the same. For example, you can drink one glass of beer or wine a day, and not have any problems, but doing heroin every day is likely to cause some serious damage.
Really good question though. For me both alcohol & drugs are really bad for your health. So never try them!
well alcohol was made illegal in the 1920(in the us) but it turned into just another illegal drug and it was being made in bathtubs and sold just like heroin and weed......however, even FDR served wine to his guests in the white so it was repealed also, alcohol is not as addictive as heroin and most people can control how much they drink(that includes people who get ridiculously drunk for the fun of it) think about it this way, have you ever just wanted some chocolate? well chocolate is made from the same cacao plant that crack comes from.....the cacao beans are the chocolate and the rest of the plant is the white powder(all processed of course)......now has there come a time where you craved alcohol(wanting it to get drunk and do stupid things does not count - but just randomly craved alcohol)?
alcohol affects the brain - when you get buzzed and your senses become impaired (have not heard/seen anything about physical changes from alcohol) drugs affect the brain(some like ecstacy even kill parts of it) and body(physical apperance)
In 2010 the people of California will be voting as to whether or not they want to make marijuana legal - it most likely will be on the ballot. And then if it passes it'll be time to rake in the tax money.
The truth is that if it were "invented" today, then alcohol would be banned, but it has been around for so many years that it is impossible almost. They tried to ban it in America, and people seemed to drink more than they used to do.
This is ridiculous on so many levels, I wouldn't know where to begin. Alcohol is considered socially acceptable and other drugs are not. The irony is that by making drugs illegal it makes them more dangerous. Cooks don't care about making a pure product, they just care about making money!
So we need the government to act as babysitters? Addiction is mostly psychological not physical. You can be psychologically addicted to anything... sex, gambling, internet... the list goes on. So do we ban everything that is addictive?
