Who is sick and tired of auctions that keeeeeeep going on and on for weeks because the OP is waiting for the BIN price?

I know that people want to set a reserve bid but set that as the MIN bid and then take what live brings. Don't put a min bid and then wait for a week for the BIN price to come because it won't happen.

Let me know what you think because I think new rules need to be setup or DB site sales will slowly die.

Auction holders should set an End Time in their opening thread.

    I totally agree..

I am relatively new here.. But I see a lot auctions here where the seller sets up a ridiculously high BIN and keep waiting for someone stupid/desperate enough to buy it..

In any case this SHOULD be made a rule(setting a time frame for auction when posting the Ask)..

Ususally the only ones that go on for weeks are the scam sales anyway. The ones where they keep posting stuff like 'just made another $169 today', and making out that the site has made thousands in its 8 day lifespan and is therefore worth thousands, which is further confirmed by the 'private offers' and 'bids via PM'.

    As a seller here.
I agree there needs to be a standard for posting an auction.
Sometimes a person wants to sell their site but doesn't want to hold an auction
and they just list the BIN price. That is fine. And will help to sell all types of sites.

A listing here should start out like this. (Just my 2 cents btw)

Auction: y / n If yes then post info below

    Starting Bid: $
    Increment of: $
    Reserve Bid: $
    BIN: $
Method of Payment: paypal moneybookers western union.

And reserve # has to be open.. No pm me for reserve.
Then make it a blanket 3 day auction across the board.
Or list how many days if more than 3.

If reserve is not met and auction has ended then the seller can
either accecpt the last bid. Relist it. Or close the auction
    without a winner.

It would be up to the seller if he wants to accecpt the bids.

If it's not an auction. But a flat out sale then it should be listed as such
That way buyers will know not to bid on it.

Again just my 2cents. And I feel this would make it much more pleasent
    for everyone here.

Wondering, what's a standard end time for auctions? For a site with a BIN price of around $4000
