I started this new bargain website: www.CheapWebBargains.com but get very little to no traffic there. I am looking for ideas on how to successfully promote this site and get more traffic. Please let me know how you would promote this site.
So far, I haven't done any promotion. It's a new site and I am getting almost no traffic there. I am looking for places to advertise it. Any ideas?
Well, you can advertise on google or some other similar network. Or, as suggested before, buy blog posts or sitewide links. I am selling both.
I just started an adwords campaign but this is a very competitive field and the keywords are very expensive. I am looking for blogs with high traffic to advertise this site. Do your blogs get much traffic?
Spend sometime on the site architecture. It's a very important thing for a site to be easy to use. If I got missed, I'd rather close the page. There's no reason for me to buy something from bunch of mess. And SEO. Select keywords, both main and longtail; write documents with different keywords, remember to be abstentious; sort of... Various ways of promo: advert, link exchanging, article marketing, forum marketing... anything legal and, well, let's say "tricky". The most important is to be trustworthy. If I'm persuading you to buy something, and don't even tell you who I am, what I'm selling, how about the product quality, would you pay a cent? I don't think so. Anyway, promotion is not an easy task, you can't just do something and get hundreds of visitors tomorrow. Patience is the key to promote.
I agree with Myst about the site layout. Sometimes you can stumble across a website and you just get that feeling that the site or company is busy due to the layout. The reverese is also true and most people that go to a site that is dull, boring and lacking content wont hang around long enough to fully explore your site and what it is you may offer. Getting your customers or viewers is only half the problem, you have to keep them interested enough to make them want to return.
Look at Amazon's page, for a good example. Though it should be better than that, still. I really like your site's "cheap webbargains" sign. You could use that for one of your ads. In big, nice-looking pictures, you want to display the most bought, sought after products. For places to advertise, you should sit down at your kitchen table, or wherever you go to do your brainstorming, and write out a plan. For example, think of sites in which you could advertise, say, items for babies and kids. I would start with sites women go to, especially single moms who are watching their money. Do keyword searches for such potential customers. Do not try to push products that very few buy online, like, appliances. You will be wasting your ad money. They go to such stores as Sears for that.
Google isn't showing a single backlink to your site. Why not rotate the links in your sig and put it in there for the time being? Have to admit the site design could use some work. Center it at the very least.
Ok! To promote a web site, to bring enough traffic need patience and persistence. You have to submit your site to many web directories and they often take about 1 month to validate your submission. However, if you are good at web marketing, do not matter, everything will be ok because it means that you have done things correctly and after 1 or 2 months, you should be well ranked on Google. But, if you are not a good web marketer, you can have some free courses at internet-marketing-notion.blogspot.com ; or better, invest your money by buying a marketing package which has already helped many people; "Site Build It" will certainly help you at sitesell.com/affiliates-tools.html
That's a sure way to get yourself banned from these forums. Most, if not all, of these forums do not allow competing websites to be advertise anywhere on their site.
Well...if your on a budget I would try article marketing. If done right you can get lots of targeted traffic. I would also suggest getting baclinks to higher PR sites inorder to increase your organic traffic on the search engines. There are also free sites out there that do search engine submissions for you. Best of luck! Gary Pettit
I thought your website looks good. It looks center to me on my 15" laptop and it looks organized and neat. Did you get those companies on the right side of your home page to advertise on your website or were they part of google ads?
The ads on the right side are affiliate ads. I joined Commission Junction (affiliate network), became an affiliate of these companies and added their banners on my site. Thanks for the great ideas. Keep'em coming.
