While browsing some tutorials for C++, I stumbled upon this site and saw a very interesting ABout Us page.

    This is the page:

    http://www.learncpp.com/about/#Support

Pls read this page and tell me if this site is breaking the Adsense Terms as I believe that indirectly this person is asking visitors to click the ads.

Lets see what other people says.....For me, its violating the terms....

See the last line on this page:
"You can also support this site by viewing advertisements that are of interest to you, or purchasing products from Amazon.com when visiting Amazon from this site."

    Nw say Mr Saurabh ji....

Better remove the sentences "You can also support this site by viewing advertisements that are of interest to you"

Although the vertical ad on the right side of the index page properly displays the tag "sponsored link" the lines quoted below is against the TOS.

Its not a voilation of TOS.

"You can also support this site by viewing advertisements that are of interest to you,"

Advertisment not actually refers to Adsense alone. There are other advertisments on this site. And by adding "that are of interest to you" makes it completely fair.

Yes, I am absolutely agree. The ads format and placement look fine but the only thing that "might" be violating the TOS is the text. Perhaps we need to see how Google will act about this activity. Owner of this site around here? :D

"You can also support this site by viewing advertisements that are of interest to you,"

I'd never put that on any of my sites that have adsense as a source of revenue.

I think is in Grey Zone

"In order to ensure a good experience for users and advertisers, publishers participating in the AdSense program may not:
Encourage users to click the Google ads using phrases such as "click the ads", "support us", "visit these links" or other similar language. "

It depend how Google interpret it when they discover this or someone report it:p

breaking policy on 2 counts that i can see

    1) encouraging users to click adsense ads

    2) there is no adsense TOS compliant privacy policy in place

Come ON!!! Please refrain from dispensing incorrect information. "of interest to you" does not make it correct and regardless of the fact that there are other advertisements, there are still ADSENSE ads so the statement would seem to include those as well. This is a clear violation as so many others have stated.
