I have a site, which i already forgot, registered few months ago, never do any seo when i officially launch it. Now the site ranked top 60 for semi competitive keyword ( 6,310,000 search results ). This is what i have done in the past 3 weeks. 1. Angela link building method 2. Comment on high pr blogs. I am refering to the pr of the comment pages ( pr4+, less than 20 outbound links, the rest i will pass ), not the main landing page. 3. Get natural one way backlinks from related sites via wordpress themes Technically i will proceed further with method 3 and strongly believe that this site can hit top 5 in a month or two. you will have to work hard not for PR but a lot for getting top in the Google. Although there are some people here who get themselve in top Google in 2-3 months in certain keywords but that thing not go for long. Very soon they are cought and penalized by Google. So be slow but steady and make useful and wealthy content for your website.

You just need to concentrate on high PR pages and get a backlink from there. Make sure the link you are getting is dofollow. Also, try to keep total outbound link (OBL) on that particular page at minimum (preferably below 50). Total OBL is included nofollow and dofollow links because we don't get extra vote if a link is nofollow from that page using pr sculpting. nofollow link value will just flushed away. So, the best is to get a dofollow backlink from pages with minimum OBL.

I think first you optimized all pages and after that do off page activities like directory submission, Article submission, link building, forum posting, blog commenting etc!!! and wait some time you got PR as well SERP!!
If you want to have high PR, try to get more relevant backlinks. Only by increasing your backlink(I mean relevant backlinks) you can get higher PR in every update.
