Do follow/no follow question

Ok my research indicates that if i post comments with my link on related Do follow blogs it will help my SEO cause. my question is how do you tell which ones allow do follow links and which ones are no follow?

 

You have to check whether the links in the page are dofollow or nofollow. You can check it with the help of NoDoFollow Firefox plugin. By installing this plugin you can easily find out whether the links are dofollow or nofollow. Hope it will be helpful.

 

yes, that tool is helpful also u can check with meta tag

 

your link will indicate red color by firfox and you can check your anchor code go to source code, there you will find this code like <a href="http://yoursitename.com/ rel="nofollow">ancher text</a> Rel="nofollow" is the no follow code. this means your anchor text isn't value for your website.

You can install a Firefox plugin that checks that for you and marks nofollow links for you.

 

simple way to check nofollow rel is just right click on link go to properties it will show u reation=nofollow if this link is no follow

SEOQuake, search status and nodofollow are some plugins you can use to see if comments on a blog are dofollow or nofollow. Dofollow blog comments are good, but guest posts are MUCH MUCH better.

But remember one thing. This does not mean you won't get traffic from a NO FOLLOW blog or forum. A forum/blog which highly active, prolific and trafficked can give you more hits than a followed one may be. Yes, you wo't get SEO love, but....keep it even

If the link is on themed site with good content then it won't do you any harm to post a link. You might gain traffic that will then link organically and with a "do follow" to your site. I feel people get too hung up on no follow linkings. If its simple link to get then its worth it.

 

use cntrl+U keys of keyboard and then find nofollow, if you don't find no follow attribute than it would be do follow. you can use firefox AD ON Qurick Search Status. IT will automatically highlight the no follow link.

another way to check whether the links are nofollow or dofollow,if you go to pagesource of the site(ctrl+u) and then you will find the links easily

 

NoDoFollow Firefox plugin is best but also you can use shortcut CTRL+U that will show you the source and if its written somewhere rel= "nofollow" for nofollow otherwise it will be a dofollow

 

I'm going to stir things up a bit now. In my experience, although nofollow links don't pass on pr, they do pass on anchor text value. If you have two basically identical poker sites, and one has no links, but the other has a couple of hundred nofollow links with poker in the anchor, you can be 100% sure that the one with the nofollow links will rank MUCH higher in a google search for the term poker.

If you are not easier to handle software then you can do it manually, by pressing Ctrl+U (Source Code), Ctrl+F (Find), Type in the box without quote "nofollow". That's all.

nice question, see if you are using firefox browser then fire fox provides plugins to show any no follow link. what you need to do is go to Tools-> Add ons-> an search for quirk bizz. this add on will give you page rank, alexa rank, competition and will show all the no follow link in slight reddish color.
if you dont want this simple select the link right click and view its source, you will get to know whether it is nofollow or dofollow.

 

It is easy if you install Firefox and its plugin (Seoquake and Searchstatus) to highlight or underline nofollow links from any blog comments page or websites.

 

I use NoDoFollow plugin and it highlights the links differentiating no-follows and follows.
Earlier I used to manually right click on the link and check properties which was time consuming but the plugin saves lot of time.
