i would suggest going for CPA offers. There are many cpa networks that have advertisers from the music industry, such are free ringtones,free movie passes, mp3 and music products etc etc It would be country oriented in most cases and they can provide you anywhere between $5 to $100 a day with 1k UV daily. those might be helpful in monetizing specially if your traffic is highly targeted. good luck

Is it because they do not pay much, or that not many were clicking on the ads? If it is the latter, perhaps its is the look of your site and the ads that is the problem??? Also, with just about all ads, less than 3% of a site's visitors click on ads. Mostly it is around 1%. Hell, if that. So, that is, what, 8 to 10 people a day clicking on your ads? If you are not even getting that, you need to get critiques on both your site and the ads.
You have 1000 uniques a day. That's 30,000/month. Okay, your problem isn't your leads or unique visitors. As you've already suggested, it's converting those unique visitors into sales and monetizing that traffic. Here's why: Not only have studies shown it takes on average a series of 7 or 8 "touches" or follow ups with your first time subscribers before they buy, the cold hard reality is, if you don't get their name and email to follow up with them later, then there's a 99% chance they'll NEVER buy from you even once! Those aren't the good kind of odds you can use to sustain a profitable business. Think about it: Say your average sales conversion rate of any offer is just 1%... then how many of 100 end up buying the first time they see your offer? At best with this scenario? Only 1% or just 1! However, you can generate opt in rates from a squeeze page of 50%, 60% or even 70%! This means you're getting between 50-70 subscribers from that same traffic and can have multiple opportunities and offers to send them to close that first sale and then "graduate" them up to your "buyers" list where you can segment your lists and enjoy a very nice sales conversion rate each time you send out a broadcast offer to your list of "proven buyers." This is what most all the successful businesses do and is the proven system which works even when others only fail. Try changing ad placement: - get rid of those top links - move ad to top - make sure ads blend with your site (white background on orange site is no good...) - use blue links in ads (if possible)
Try to grow traffic or change the niche. Now days everyone can download music for free or listen to the radio or download albums from rapidshare. But if you want to stay at music niche you should write about music events groups singers djs and so on. This will bring more traffic to the site and will grow your earnings at adsense for example
