I recently start a site that sell double stroller, I want to build more on way incoming link. How should I do? Somone said web directories are useless, aren't them? Thx!
No there are some good free ones check out directory critic. Quality paid directorys are good (joe ant, business.com, yahoo, gimpsy) Free for all spam directorys are not good
Thats a very broad question - you need to develop a co-ordinated online marketing campaign that involves web directories, article writing, link exchanges and more - then you will start to see your backlinks improve
I've posted a list of great ways to get truly killer links (oh, that are free, too) here on the forums. If you want the best links you (or anyone else) can possibly get, then you won't be able to afford to ignore reading it. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=12104573#post12104573
You have many ways to get backlinks to your site including article submission, guest posting, widgets etc. Dan has a great list on that thread.
There are lots of methods to make one way links directory submission, article writing or submission in article directory, do blog commenting, forum posting or exchange one way link which is related to your website...
Building links is something that should be part of your overall business activities. I suggest you set aside at least 30minutes a day per website to build links. Over time it really pays off. Building links is NOT something you do "once" or every now and again. it's as important as adding content and building your site. Directories aren't a great way to start or as a primary source of backlinks. Start with articles and publish to as many of the top directories as possible.
Building links is like blogging. You must do it constantly to be successful. That being said, check your keywords in google. Run the sites that show up on top through this site http://www.backlinkwatch.com. This shows you the links that are pointing to the sites holding the rankings you want to achieve. So see if you can get the same sites. No need to re-invent the wheel. Copy what the big guys are already doing and you will be a big guy too. -p0ck3ts
That's a great site - thanks! Do you know if it lists Google or Yahoo's indexed links? I had a quick look and it looks like it might actually list Google's index. There are some similar tools, but most just use yahoo. Otherwise SEO Elite is the best software for doing this - this tool is free! Cool.
Sorry, i missed it... It clearly says "Web Services By Yahoo" Still a good indication, but won't help a lot for trying to find out what's indexed by Google
Use directories, submit your site to artciles directories, general directories and if you have a blog then submit it to blog directories.
