Hai friendz, I am depressed a lot friends coz i am working on a particular keyword which has 3,68,000 visits per month as per google keyword tool. Though i ranked well got first page in google serp for that keyword and now my site is at 6 th position, i am trying two weeks to get first position but still i can't. I am also increasing backlinks through anchor text for the particular keyword. But still no increase in serp it still remains idle at 6 th position. But one doubt that my site has only 8 pages indexed on that keyword but my competitors site has 0 pages indexed as per yahoo site explorer. Though i have a lot more than my competitor but i can't beat him, I am fed up friends. Many of them saying that getting first 3 positionss will get a lot of traffic but i get only 12 visits per day coz of 6 th position. Pls help me to increase my serp ranking? What should i do further? Seeking your help friends...... Thanks in Advance.
Its not depend upon the no. of backlinks you had create. Its depend on the quality of it. May be your other friends get higher rank then you with few backlinks. Bcoz they got these link from higher PR site pages. So try to get from HIGH PR pages backlinks which will in crease your rank. Most import RND on the title of your site. Give exactly the same name as your keywords.
hello friend seeking in my help maybe your competitors PR is bigger then yours, maybe you forgot to build a sitemap and upload it to google maybe, maybe.... and there is nothing more i can do good day to you, friend
I agree with you. Quality of your baclink counts. Getting a single quality link is better than getting hundreds of non quality links. Keep on building quality links. Surely your site will come to the top.
One thing- update your Title once and if possible then content of your web page, but take care about the numbers of keywords. Most important thing- Just have patience and wait for the result.
May be becuase of onsite issues you are not able to increase your rank, check meta description and title, also keyword density for keyword in your home page, keyword in anchor text in your page etc.
The quality of your content really matters most, maybe that's why your competitor wins over your site. PR doesn't really matter because it's just the result of the number of backlinks you get from other sites. Traffic is also a main part to look out for because it help your site be known and helps you earn more.
i agree.. check your and competitor sites - title, meta tags, keyword density, content(no duplicated content), internal link... and so on... check your back link, if your back link has high quality(High PR) or not.
Can you get backlinks from the same sites as your competitor (or any of the sites above you? Some of these sites at least should be possible to get links from. You can check the anchor text they use as well. Find out what they are doing that you arent. I use Quirk addon to check sites. Look at the top few sites for your keyword and try to match their average keyowrd density in different places - title, page content etc.
anyone please correct me if I am wrong. Apart from all other stuff you can do, which is bonus in my eyes, at this stage it really comes down to : - quality content, lots of it. add unique content on your site - theme your pages, all (or most) of them for (related) keywords - don't only focus on your exact keyword. have content and links for words that google thinks are relevant for the subject. - distribute content externally / have links on related content pages. (articles?) - get links with higher PR sites. - be patient. would like to hear others' opinions
It's likely to be more than just on-page factors. I agree that you have to freshen up your page and make sure that the content on your page is on the money. Chances are that they have some high PR links from relevant sites. If you have SEO Elite or even Market Samurai you can analyze your competitor to see exactly why they are ranking above you. Chances are that they have an older domain, higher PR links, more relevant links, more relevant content and probably a link from Yahoo Directory or DMOZ. it's most likely to be a combination of all these factors. I would recommend you either just let it go and start working on the next keyword or you get yourself some PR7+ links that are highly relevant.
You have to concentrate on quality of links rather then quantity. Quality is more important then quantity. Good luck for your keywords.
yes I agree with some comments that quality backlinks are more important than quantity..But you have checked also your onpage strategy..compared with your competitor
Maybe you should give us the URLs and the search term? Does this site have the keyword in the URL? I know that can give a huge boost. Also, check the quality of the links this other owner has. Check if they are relevant and check the PageRank of the pages they're on.
