Working in the kitchens at my local hospital. Had to rinse huge vats of porridge and mashed potato for 8 hours a day. The stink of potato diluted with tepid water and industrial washing liquid was unbearable. Now I use post traumatic stress as an excuse not to do the dishes
AT&T telemarketer when I was in the States and walked out after 5 days, unbelievable what those companies put people through.
Tell me about it. I put myself through university with telemarketing jobs. Sold everything from timeshare to mobile phones to the Wall Street Journal. In an 8 hour shift you had to be actually talking for 7 hours. As soon as you hang up a call the next one connects. Hell on Earth.
well mine wasnt that bad....worked in a taco shop that one day had no power....but the cheap boss got a generator ....so i could make burritos in the dark....burning my hands on the hot plate....alos worked for a day at the local fish market.....the temp ajency gav me 2 left boots and sent me to this place....it sucked i all most got run over by a forklift....... thanks for brining it up madcenter i had almost forgot about it.....
Ugh its horrible and AT&T uses and auto dialer so before you can even take a breath your next call has answered the phone and is already swearing at you
How about if you make me dial one more time am going to bash your face in... <That is what I always thought in my mind., while giving them a nice big fake smile.>
Thing is I cant fake emotions and if I am angry then everyone around me will know and sure thats why I walked out after 5 days before punching someone.
you shoulda done it, it would be worth it to see the look on the other 100's of employees as you "Stood up" to the fox
Erm I did do it on another job in front of 300 odd people The manager ended up with a cut lip and a headset twisted around his head, I got fired from that job.
hehhee....reminds me of my last job........apparently this guy strolls in to the mens john.......looks up and there is some guy......."punching the munchkin" and two fingers in his ass......the first guy is shocked, the second was like" oh hi there" smiles and says " i should be done in a minute ".....true story.....ahh the call center life.......
