This might be an odd question but please help me out..I have heard that typing the a particular content compared to copying and pasting the same content in your website helps improve SERP ranking to great deal... Please let me know whether this true..
Yes, if you repeat the same condent or keywords in the page google will conside it as keyword dumping.
Of course, Copy paste affects SEO. Which is not good. It's like duplicating a content. If you want to have a good SEO you must have a unique content.
Coping and publishing the exact same content of another indexed page/site might penalize your website/page for duplicated content
Well it makes no difference if you copy and paste it or just type it and copy it. Unique content is good, however copied content will not have negative effects upon SEO it will simply mean you are not benefitting from the advantages of unique content. Lots of people have not experimented with copied content and marketed it correctly with SEO, it really can work as there are many recipe, lyrics and other sites which all contain exactly the same database yet they still make $xx,xxx per month.
Do NOT Copy..try to implement unique content...this will help search engines and users to get good information....
No search engine is going to have any idea whether you typed a piece of text or copy and pasted it. It makes no difference whatsoever. (And as you're offering seo services, I would expect you to know how a search engine works)
M new to SEO and I was told this by another person who is into since SEO long time..I too wasnt sure so thaought of getting your views...
So you're not providing SEO services your self, this called out-sourcing and guess you've got the point now..? Copy & Paste might raise a Duplicated content filter and will definitely affect SERP's
that means typing the content instaed of copying from a text file would help to attain better results???
Typing instead of pasting... maybe. If you are copying from a Word document for example, you will get code that Word uses for formatting and that code may not be html which results in "contaminated" code which is harder for a search engine to read, which *could* effect how the page ranks. When building pages, paste text into 'notepad' then copy and paste into your html editor. This eliminates any garbage code. (If pasting from a text file, no there is no reason to type instead.) /*tom*/
Where is this duplicated content filter? I hear so much about this, yet continue to witness others having success (earning $xx,xxx per month) with duplicate content based websites who rely on Google traffic. Please can you prove it or come up with a reliable source?
That's not always the case though, is it? Think of news agencies and related websites that syndicate content - that wouldn't always be seen negatively by Google. If the content and website is of quality, I don't think it is a huge issue for some sites.
If you are trying to rank better for your keywords and you are just copy pasting work of others then certainly you will not get TOP position at Google rather you can work hard on the original content and can rewrite it for your own words. Enjoy the joy of creation
What about a forum program that copies yahoo answer and question, I saw someone selling a program as that on this forum, would that affect your page rank? Also what happens if you write a material and people copy your text to replies and other forums? because I saw some of that happening where the two 5 pages had all the same content from different websites in someone blog, in yahoo answer, and in some forum?
If I don't use " copied content " in my site and use it in other sites and webpages To get backlinks ( Example: articles directories ) will that affect the SEO ?
