$60 Logo Contest - 24 Hours

I need a logo for a site, MyStateRates.com. The site will be totally redesigned, so you don't need to match it to the current scheme. The site is primarily an insurance lead gen site, but might move to other areas such as loans as well.

The logo is not just for online use, so the final version from the winner will need to be a larger file because I do quite a few offline sponsorships where my logo appears on t-shirts, race cars and other things.

I will pay $60 to the winner. Contest ends at 9:00 a.m Central U.S. time tomorrow unless I extend it for a revision or upon request. Regardless, it won't be extended long becuase I have a sign maker waiting for my logo at the moment.

    Thanks

nice one, but I would like the .com to be a part of the logo, since it's also going to be used offline.

Yes, Richard Westman, too beveled. Also, I don't want the logo to be background dependent because this logo will get stuck on all colors of backgrounds and surrounding colors. I don't know how to describe what I mean, but unless you are going to put the text inside of another, larger graphic, don't make the text rely on a certain color of background to work.

Also, I do like when icons get added to a logo, but I want them to be integrated into the main logo, and appear to have some purpose for being there. Richard, it looks like those drops you added were an afterthought.... whereas the magnifying glass in the first one was well integrated. Know what I mean?

MrEdesign, the only issue I have with yours is that for both insurance and loans, people are looking for lower rates. Your arrow is pointing up as if rates are rising, instead of falling.

chris-designer, you are the early leader. I like them a lot because they are clean, not overly busy, custom yet it is easy to see the name. Seeing the name easily is important because when you advertise a website offline, people have to be able to make out the url they are supposed to remember when they go online.

By the way, my early thinking is that the winner is going to incorporate a fair amount of blue or red as a primary color. Chris-designer has a good blue going at the moment. My mind could be changed, but that's my early thinking.

Feizar, do one of those where you replace the green with either a red or blue so I can get a good feel for it. I like the concept.
