Hi! I want to design some wordpress templates to make a little money and build links for my website. Does anyone here know how to encrypt the footer to protect the links?
Is this what you want for some simple encryption of your php code? Basically, you need 4 functions: base64_decode(), base64_encode(), gzdeflate() and gzinflate().
actualy i was looking for a webtool which encrypts the code. Do you know such a tool? It's way more comfortable than self-coding
It is. But it'd be some time before it's figured out and re-engineered and the hacker may give up. Especially useful for non-programmers who'd never know how to decode it.
Well, i was asking for a webtool that does this. I know that theese kind of tools exist because i used one once before. Doesn't anyone here know a link for such a tool?
I googled it but couldn't found any proper decrypter for this job... it's not that easy for a newbie to decode easily.
True. A newbie probably won't investigate it at all. And for some people it's not a big deal. Personally, I don't like themes that are supposedly "free to use" but demand that you host a link from your site's home page. To me that is not free. I do agree with the trade off. I know themes are not easy to make and a link or credit is not too much to ask, but it's the nature of some of the links that people put in the footer that makes it come off as spammy to your blog readers (since theme makers sell the footer links to finance the time and effort) and turns people off from using the theme (Poker, drugs, diet pills and such). Just something to think about when you are putting links in your footer.
