Hello I have problem with Google indexing it seems like it didn't recognize my meta description instead it is displaying my footer. I don't know what the problem is. I don't have problem with yahoo and bing.

Anyone here knows how to solve this?

This is because the keywords in your search phrase are not ALL contained in the <meta name="description"> element. Read one of my previous posts on the topic to understand "how" Google picks the snippet it shows in the SERPs:

Can we have a look at your URL so that we can give a correct solution and avoid guess work? This problem normally occurs when you misspell the meta tags or when you have multiple meta tags

Do you want your <title> to show for your meta description? I wouldn't. My title is typically short like "Mortgage Loans - Mortgage Home Loans". Google is already showing your <title> in the SERPs so it would look dumb.

Just use all of the keywords from your <title> in a sentence or two in the <meta> description. They don't have to be grouped together... it just matters that they are there (together or individually) someplace.

Don't worry too much about the description meta tag. It doesn't count much, if at all, in SEO. Write your description to target your main keywords so that it appears when some one does a search using your main keywords. For less important keywords, let Google decide which snippet to use.

Thanks Canonical that's what I did, hopefully it will show up. I'm just waiting for google to re-index it.

qazu I just find it unusual because afaik meta description will show up if you search your website in Google am I right? In my case the footer is the one which is showing up.

I disagree with this. I have made slight changes in my description and seen positive results. It is also your chance to talk to the people and get them to click through to your site. I think the description is very valuable.
