Classified ads are ads placed by people or businesses to let people know about items for sale and availability of jobs. It is a form of advertising which is particularly common in newspapers & online ads.

We do press release for the purpose of announcing something claimed to have news value. It can be done during the general news release, event release, product release, etc. It is done in order to highlight an important event, program, or piece of information by an organization

You are telling me directory submissions and link exchanges are still working? Well if you think so then you need to get yourself refreshed on SEO knowledge. Get yourself acquainted with the changing algorithms.

With the exception of a well-written and highly targeted press release, articles submitted to the AUTHORITATIVE sites within your niche/market/industry, and reference links from how-to and tutorial sites, those are going to be the WORST kinds of links you can possibly get.

You want real links (such as the three I singled out in the previous paragraph)? Try these: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=12104573#post12104573
