    Guys

I find Yahoo Answers affective in bringing traffic but question is is this also benefit in SEO point of view. For traffic it works but for back links or increase page rank is this useful?

Links from Yahoo Answers are nofollow. Needless to day, SEO-wise, it won't give you any benefits. But posting comments in it will boost your traffic esp. if your answer is flagged as the best one.

In my opinion, Yahoo Answers is the one of the best way to boost your website PR & Back Links. Yahoo answers will get your website some traffic. This not only helps others but also you will try to find answers to more questions.

It's the most popular Q/A site so it's good for traffic.

Yahoo answers are usually ranked pretty high, it may not give you quality backlinks, but the exposure and potential for traffic is decent.

While your link may not get picked up by Google, there are plenty of other search engines that will read and count the link. But, if you only care about Google, and you want to shun all other potential visitors that use other search engines, or if you want to give up the direct traffic potential, then don't use Yahoo answers.

Every link is worth something, remember that spiders don't make you money. Someone that visits your site based off of a link that you placed is more inclined to buy something, or click on an ad link, or participate in however else you earn money.

I don't care what they say, I will even take a nofollow link. The more links the better!

The fact that its no follow is only going to be detrimental for SEO purposes with respect to google. It doesn't affect yahoo or Bing (at this time). As someone else already pointed out, though, if flagged for the best anser you are going to get some points for that and maybe even a customer lead or two.

it is good for traffic but the traffic is very short lived. after a week or 2 of a Yahoo answers campaign, the traffic starts fading away. regarding SEO benefit, its not useful for google ranking as the links are nofollow but yahoo and msn still count nofollow link so they are atleast somewhat useful

    Guys

Here I confirm my experiment, each time I answered at yahoo for my Loans page I got some traffic that is around 20 unique visitors and around 4$-5$ revenue in AdSense. Again this is confirmed that this traffic was short live.

But this is confirmed that Yahoo Answers send traffic to your site and revenue to your AdSense account. :)

So far I made around 20$ in few days for just answering at Yahoo by working around 20 minutes a day just to experiment things.

As others have said, it's great for traffic, though no impact on rankings. Still worth it for the exposure, however.

That may be true, but you want to spend your whole time concentrating on getting 100% "do follow" links.

Sometimes it's good to remember that a link is a link - ya know?

In which case that would fall under general Internet marketing, and not search engine optimization.

True, after this Yahoo Answer experiment I concluded that I need to spend time on quality back links for and seo for regular and quality traffic. Yahoo Answers works like daily wages employees. You work for one day, you will get traffic for one day. You stopped work, you lose traffic.

So now I will pay attention to get quality backlinks.

However if someone is looking for quick revenue in Adsense or domain parking then Yahoo Answer is best because it brings quick traffic and revenue at AdSense or parked domains. :)

    How?

Believe it or not, nofollow links still help in SEO - adding them to the mix helps things look natural - it still counts as a "vote".
