CJ deactivated my account and I have no idea why? I wrote to them, but they have not responded? Anyone have any experiences with something like this? Q...
CJ deactivates for no activity and obviously fraud. The most common reason is that you didn't generate any commission for a period of time. In that case, your account is closed and you would need to re-apply for another account and start the process over again. Their standard policy is not to reactivate accounts closed for no activity.
The claim was I had no transactions....ever. I have had other problems with affiliates. Shouldn't they have notified me so that I could remove the links? Q...
I know they're really strict. If you break any of the rules, they will close without any warning. Didn't know they would pull it for lack of traffic though, this seems a bit harsh. I would have thought advertisers would prefer people to see their ads, whether they were clicking them or not.
Not to revive an older thread, but the same happened to me. I expected it - the site has been dormant for some time now. But I would have thought an auto-e-mail to notify wouldn't be too much to ask. In the right niche, I suppose, CJ-affiliates can do well. Seemed to me an utter waste of time.
Commission junction deactivated my account also as well as dwindling away $26 bucks of commission in management fees all of which is included in their terms of service. Lesson learned don't waste your time with CJ unless you plan to invest time into making it work. I didn't realize about the management fees until it was too late otherwise I would have taken out the $25. Anyone else piddling about in the same boat, please be aware, with CJ it's sink or swim. I will be taking down my ads and replacing them, no loss to them no doubt since I hadn't made a sale for a few months, but I'm sure someone else will be happy with the links. Clearly their policies ensure that producers are rewarded and non producers are penalized with loss of commissions vis a vis the example above. I've no beef with them, but simply provide this real life example for education.
