Rules Question: Removing DigitalPoint Thread From Google Index?

    Hi

This question/request is for the mods/site owners (anybody that will have the ability to remove a thread/parts of a message, or a google webmaster account)

Basically I have made a post on the forum, that for various reasons (nothing illegal) I would removed from google's index.

Is it possible to request this via digitalpoint?

If it is not, is it possible to request that a mod "edits" my post, so when the phrase is searched for in google, it won't return my post?

If this is possible, please respond and I will link, or PM a kind member of the team to help out?

*sorry for posting here if this isn't appropriate*

    many thanks

I think you can ask a mod to delete the thread/post that you made.

many thanks for the response, please excuse my stupidity, but is there a list of mods? could you please direct me to it?

if its any use, the thread is on the "contests" forum

We don't edit threads just because you want something de-indexed. That includes things such as URLs / links when selling sites, domain names for domain sale threads, domains / links in link sales threads, inappropriate info you posted and are worried Google might find out about re: your adsense account, etc. So if it's something like that, don't PM us about it. There are very rare exceptions (like removing personal contact information), but that's more often when someone else posts it without your permission rather than the OP not thinking before posting.
