Is it true, when you buy a recently expired domain the age is lost, even if the whois shows that it was registered a few years ago?
once a domain expires, everything about it expires too. the only good thing about expired domains is that you may get some backlinks and if lucky, some traffic.
SO then, if the domain registration says "2006" then it hasn't expired yet, and hasnt lost its age? Even if its not indexed by google anymore?
If you registered the domain during the 'delete prohibited period' then you will keep your domain age.. However, it's not really related to your site indexing age within the SE's Note: The clock start ticking as you first get's your website indexed in the search engines
it's true, but if you can add quality content and there are good links to the site then it might be worth it anyway...
Expired domain lost all its Whois Records while expiring. But web.archive.org remains and if lucky, some backlinks, PR and traffic can still sustain.
