Find a real quality hosting company.

OK first of all I am beginning to be a little skeptical. I mean to me it seems like reselling is a bad idea waiting to happen.

What happens when you have a hundred clients you have resold to and the mother company goes bad.

How do you know that there are just like 4 people with a high speed connection telling you that have a high quality data center somewhere?

Who is an actual great host one which I can serve serveral clients without having to worry about a 99.9% uptime really many 70%.?

Please help me find one.

 

You just have to do your research. Look what others say about hosts that they find reliable. Also if you don't find much on a particular company, email their sales team and ask questions. That's what they are there for, if your happy with their responses then try them out. A lot of places have good money back offers as well.

I believe both have been around for a while, and both have exceptional (and prompt) technical support.

 

I have enjyoyed Dreamhost but lately they have had so many problems and they are based in California which seems to have its own sets of problems.

Also something is going on with their DB driven applications and my Joomla and ZenCart sites are slow.

I hope they resolve it. I don't really trust these reseller deals not to oversell.

 

I have been looking at dreamhost, are they having many problems, would you recommend them?

 

Most resellers I have checked with really do not oversell their server space and connections.
Most resellers will add more servers and connections if warranted.
The company I resell for moved all my sites to a new server yesterday because of problems, so they asked me if I wanted moved and I said yes.
If you resell hosting as I do, always have a back up.
So I resell for two companies and host with both.
If one decides today or some time in the future not to continue in the business, no problem switching everyone to the other.

Yes, dreamhost has had some problems of late. In general you're going to run into similar problems with a lot of different hosts, especially if you're dealing with shared hosting.

Webpipe (http://www.webpipe.net) is one I've used in the past as well, though it's been a while. Their level of service was on par with dreamhost, however at the time they didn't offer nearly as many features as dreamhost.

 

The one I use and recommend is Hummingbird Hosting. Very stable, has been around for several years, and very reasonable in their rates.
