Only if you know to use Twitter Properly and give adequate time.

 

Maybe as an addon to other marketing practices, but to be honest, Twitter is for social use.

At best you should use it to get your target market to warm to you. If you use the account to send constant advertising your followers will abandon you.

Twitter is really good, but as everyone said you need to know how to use it right. Offer allot of discounts and promotions and free stuff for your services or products. Also you have to have allot of time for it.

 

Like every free tool on the web I guess it really depends on how you use it, but if it's promotion you are looking for I think it's definitely a great tool. well, if you use it to just throw out offers to your followers you probably won't earn much, and the numbers of followers will quickly be reduced. However if you do target the right people to follow, and hopefully follow you bcak, you can generate some good traffic to your website /blog. As long as provide quality information that your followers are interested in it can work out just fine.

It is if you do it properly. You have to use some discretion as to when to post updates and when not to. You can't spam the site as not only people will stop following you, but they will ban your account.
