Is orkut better than fb?

Personally i like the themes that orkut has to offer as compared to facebook. Facebook is very "white". Plus fb has too much security. What do you guys think?

 

Facebook is NO. 1 social bookmarking site of the world and is No. 4 in the top websites acc. to the alexa ratings.
Orkut is not better than facebook in any manner. I like facebook too much and rarely use orkut.

 

I think you want to find a lot of indian community Orkut is the place. But of course Facebook certainly much better than Orkut

Fb groups dont compare well to orkuts community features

well that is true. fb mostly has more applications

 

You can say Facebook has better integration with other web services like Twitter, Youtube, Flickr, Picasa, Last.fm, your blog feeds, etc. All your activities on these sites are shown on your FB and everything is commentable as posts. Whereas on Orkut, you can only comment on Photos and in scrapbooks, nowhere else. Plus multiple people can comment on your post/status as threads, whereas on Orkut it's only one-to-one communication. I also love how Facebook has strict rules for names, unlike how you notice people using such fancy names on Orkut because of which you can never tell them apart.

I've primarily switched to Facebook myself, but maybe yeah, community features could be said to be better on Orkut.

 

I have never tried Orkut but I do use Facebook and so I think Facebook is better.

 

Huh you must be joking, urkut is a shambles, there are even groups that are dedicated to hacking on there, telling people how to hack others pc, shocking !

I could sell custom myspace templates 3 years ago, I got lot of projects from my facebook friends. But from orkut I got nothing, so never use orkut anymore

 

I Prefer Face Book compared to orkut. But orkut is gaining more and more popularity

It depends, like in Brazill they never heard of facebook, everyone has Orkut.

 

Orkut is no doubt simple to use very friendly and open to all which have been restricted to some extent Where as Facebook is sophisticated and had professional look which new user find very difficult .
