I am trying to rank for the keyword "web success" with my blog Web Journey. However, I am not even listed for it. Why? My in-bound Seo is good, and I have some one way links with web success as the anchor text.
Some links, yes. Google says 34 of them. That's not a lot, especially when there are over 111k hits for your search term. "web success" also appears only once on your front page of your site and in the title tag. Not a whole lot for google to pick up on. May want to give categories a try as well. I don't see that you;re using them.
you are ranked #571 in google.com I think the keyword is hard to rank for. And I think like said before your on page SEO is bad for the keyword 'web success'.
As mentioned above 34 links is relatively nothing. You often need hundreds or thousands of links, or at least some very good ones. Using the keyword throughout the page without going overboard helps too. I would concentrate mostly on building up a lot more links with a variety of anchor texts, such as long tail keywords that include web success.
write some articles and do a blog and submit them to social bookmarking sites with your anchor text in them, and it will help drive your traffic up
I'm using an exact search. Do you have the tool set to show exact or broad results? Also, which Google results are you using? The global ones or a country-specific one? (I used the global exact results.)
Your content is good. My question is how do you promote your blog? You should be promoting your blog daily. Social Media sites and Blog Commenting daily!
Your blog is not focused enough, you appear to post about blogging, domains, fun stuff, reviews, seo, and why or how can you advise people on making money online if yours itself is not successful? Be more focused.
I reccomend "How to build a better blog in 31 days" from problogger.net. A ebook where you get 31 tasks to complete in 31 days. These tasks focus on how to build a better blog. Trust me it helps!
it's not an easy keyword.. You need minimum 3 months to get first 20 page rank this is because many website have web success in their domain name which give them a plus point further it won't fetch you enough traffic
Unfortunetly, I think you may be fighting a losing battle trying to target that as a keyword. Will take a long time to get highly ranked with it.
