Hi there. I have a product selling site that is only selling to the US customers.

But i've got alot of non-US visitors. So my questions are:

    1. Can i redirect the non-US visitors to another site of mine which suits them better?

    2. Will my site be penalized by SE by redirecting?

    Thanks for answering my questions!

my answer is NO...as long you make a redirection that will treat the crawlers like human...

If you don't redirect the bots (i.e. don't treat them as human) then they won't even realise that you are doing any redirection. Presumably you're doing it on IP address? I guess most big bots are in the US anyway.

I agree with everyone. The only thing you would be penalized for would be if you redirected the bots to a page designed for them. Redirecting humans is more than acceptable and in this case, will probably increase your conversions a great deal for the non-US peeps that hit your site.

Best way would be to place links on the landing pages to your other site so that people interested in your other store will find it through the text links.

Correct, but the danger is that a human noices the redirection and reports it. Unlikely, but there is a risk.
