My page rank on webdombot.com is now at a 0 according to PRchecker.info... but a month ago it was a 2!?!?!?!?!

WTF? Anyone know why page rank would go down? Or am I just seeing a bug?

Do certain forums like digitalgangster / xtrememyspace / wickedfire count as bad neighborhoods?

Assigning PR is completely depend on G, basically its a quality factor assigned by them only. Generally, PR get down due to various reasons like excessive irrelevant BLs, black hat SEO techniques etc.

Also Google may take down the page rank if it notice sponsored post tags/links in your blog.

If you lost your good & quality backlinks also PR will lose.

If you observe your site backlinks,

    http://www.google.com/search?q=link:http://webdombot.com/ - 0 backlinks
    http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.co...dombot.com/&bwm=i&bwmf=u&bwms=p&fr2=seo-rd-se
    2 backlinks

and already you have 11 external links at home page.

So, their is no choice to gain PR considering the above factors.

At least, you must have above 10 yahoo backlinks to gain Google PR 2.

So, try to build goog & quality backlinks.

    Then expect PR.

    All the best..

The most likely cause in the PR drop is as follows.

    1. The link you had before are no longer connected to you.
    2. You have a link in a blog on PR1 + page as their home page has moved to the second page and you lose the power link from PR1 + page and now have power relationships with the PR0 pages.
    3. Everyone else have more links going to them.

Don't worry so much about PR. Traffic and serp position are better metrics for measuring your success. Backlinks are the fabric of the web so you should keep up the link building campaign.

it happend to be, from PR3 it went to PR0, all of a sudden.

there are many reasons (including google changeing theyr algorithm), but mostly it's because of the backlinks, build some more quality backlinks and you will get right back on tracks ;)

    good day to you ;)

Your site is doesn't have enough backlinks at present. Now a days, Google PR is changing monthly. So, if you build few quality backlinks from high PR sites, you can easily get PR again.

I think, your all of backlinks are lost. So, your PR was dropped.

I think, Google PR algo doesn't changes much. Bcoz, my sites PR changed nothing. All are remain the same.

    Anyway, all the best....

Your contact page is a pr1. So there's some pr flowing in the site. The internal linking structure needs improvement. You should use text links instead of images, so that, the pr flows between pages. Or at the least put a text menu at the bottom of the pages.

Exactly same thing had happened to my site, PR was 2 and after a month or so it went down to 0 again. No, I didn't build ANY backlinks, as that site is for fun and a little passive income. But yeah, traffic matters, which is way higher with PR 0 than with PR 2 :D

I always keep saying it "Don't bother about PR, traffic is all that matters"...

PR can go down for many reasons, including bad quality links being detected, links to your site being deleted, and many others.

i don't really care about PR drop as long as my site ranking getting better and better.

PR would not bring traffic, but ranking does.

    Cheers..
