Why no traffic?

I have site www.evodie-art.com that has top ten in google search engine for with keywords: digital painting gallery and masterworks digital painting, but this site has almost no traffic. The site is made in dw. Any idea why? Please help me.

 

I can't speak for anyone else but I tend not to visit sites that don't load?

as stated above, your keywords are not popular enough. use the adwords tool to find popular keywords and optimise for them.

The traffic to your website also depends upon the quantity of search to the keywords.

 

You may remove some of the graphics...use less amount of image on front page.

 

would be better to do two-words keyword phrase

 

grandllama, gbit, senecacollege thank you. I though putting images in index.html will attract people to see the content, am I right? Actually, I want to use two-words keyword, but I was afraid that it goes to sandbox due to 2 month ole site.

 

I have never searched for those words in my life but the artwork is nice anyway opimize for some different keywords like stock photos or digital art which are more general

 

That is a wrong assumption. Your site has a chance to got sandboxed in every keyword. If you are tending to go for seo as main traffic then you should target the more common sense popular targeted keyword. There is useless to got site ranked first page for the phrase no one searching for.

I just curious to find you the best keyword for you. I found one that is, "digital fine art" with 480 searches per month and 119,000 websites (exact match keyword) that compete with you using the same keyword.

IMHO, when we define the right keyword, we should define how many searches with the same keyword in a month and how big is the competition. so, we can't just define the keyword like that. please CMIIW...

 

Your got a traffic from me right there. Proper usage of keyword will contribute a lot in driving traffic but this is not the only way. Do promotion.

I visited your site and it really took time to load the images. Just a suggestion, you can optimize your images to lessen the file size so that it will load faster.

emmadean, thank you for your traffic contribution. Actually I have multiple hosting server in USA, Germany, and Singapore, but why took time load images, I have lessen the file using high compress jpg file. I use index.php as follow:

See that you use the keywords that are searched more in search engines. Such keywords will make lot of difference when it comes to driving traffic to your website. And I think now your website is loading much more faster.

Top ten keyword in google search is not gurantee you get hight traffic...
The keyword must be high search, not too many result and not too little traffic and have a good niche.
By the way, your keyword is too long
