I developed this site for a partnership that didn't work out. The domain was registered Feb. 2006, I installed Wordpress, made a few preliminary postings, and pointed a couple of links at it. Webalizer says visits have been as follows:

    Feb. 2006 79
    March 110
    April 108
    May 138
    June 236
    July 182

If you do a search for "How to buy from china" w/o quotes it comes up #6 on Google and #3 at msn. Home page PR looks to be a 4 and the six interior pages are 3's. I wrote the pathetic "content" so there should be no copyright issues.

I think every business person in the USA has thought about the profits to be made importing goods from China. I suspect there are many Chinese entrepreneurs who would love to find USA buyers for their products. It seems like a great opportunity for someone who knows the China market to obtain an instant web presence and grow a consulting business.

I will leave any links I have pointing to the site in place for three months unless the buyer turns it into a family unfriendly site.

I will accept bids in $10 increments until 9:00 PM Mountain Time, Sunday, August 6. At that time I will either accept the high bid or close the sale; my choice. The buyer will get FTP access to move the site. I don't want to keep hosting it forever, but there is no particular hurry to move it. I don't anticipate posting a BIN.

    Thanks for your consideration.

    Where is the domain registered?

    I will bid $20

Are you sure, no bin? I just know I am going to miss the end of this one.

    Registered at enom.com.

I have been burned when a seller posted a closing time and then gave a BIN and sold early. I won't do that. You can return at 8:59 Sunday and there will still be time to bid :)

    40,

by not putting a bin and forcing people to watch to the end you end up not getting what you wont. I for one will not be staying up on a sunday night. Most of the big pros on this voard have children and family obligations on SUNDAYS !! And even worse for non usa bidders. You actually lose pro bidders for not declaring a bin.

I can see your point, but in my mind, the purpose of an auction is to place a value on something for which the value is undertain. I could place a BIN that seems high to me, but which would still be a give away price to potential bidders.

    Thanks for your bid.

I presume the SERP results can vary depending on location from which the search is made. I don't know of any way to check that; perhaps others would mention what it shows for them.

And that really is part of the point of having a bin. It clearly declares in what figures your are moving.
