I've started dealing with SEO recently. As I understood a website has to provide genuine content which should be regularly updated in order for the website to achieve better SERP, have better PageRank and so on. But I have a problem with the website www.socialsniffer.com I am working on - it's a social media sites tracker. And it just has input forms, so obviously I can't have update-able content on it. Can anyone help with suggestions to this problem. Thanks!
Genuine useful content, yes. Regular updates helping your SERPS is, mostly, nonsense. I have sites that haven't been touched for three years and are still on page 1 of Google. Focus on backlinks, more specifically providing something useful, so that others link to you without being asked.
You've got the room on the right hand side for a panel of social media related news. Maybe you could work a regular news piece or article into that so you'd have some original content on there?
It tracks social media websites. For example, it can track the number of Twitter followers you have, or facebook members in a group. And so on and so on.
