One thing I wanted to point out is that it is coming with some pretty serious upcoming media coverage including:

NPR (national public radio) interview on a program called MarketPlace. NPR, btw is listened to by more than 20 million people according to a 2003 data. That number is probably much higher right now.

Full page feature article in Fortune Small Business magazine in October. FSB has more than one million subscribers and is affiliated with Fortune magazine, CNN, Money magazine and Business 2.0 magazine with a pretty good chance that the story will be syndicated!

And interview by Canadian Television - VisionTV, which had more than 7.5 million subscribers.

That alone can translate into thousands and thousands of dollars in sales.

In less than six months of the website's existence I made more than $44,000 in sales and $25,000 in net profit! After the massive media coverage, this numbers can skyrocket!

Thanks! Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. But from my own experience it is better to mix a press release that you paid somebody to do with your own additions... it's more productive that way!

 

when will this auction end?

 

Basically I have lost interest. I started eNthem to raise money for my other revolutionary internet project, but since that failed (somebody beat me to the idea) I now have other plans and dreams I want to pursue, including working for Google... read the part titled "Why on earth am I selling this project" in the auction description so that you can fully understand why I decided to sell it.

 

Very, Very cool... I will definitely be watching.... But I am quite sure this is going to soar out of my price range ...

You you have any estimation of the BIN for this site? It is helpful to have one.

 

The BIN would be in the $50,000 range but I will consider and definitely entertain any offers lower than that. I had an offer for $15,000 already, but that's a little too low for me.

Has the ebay auction got a reserve on it?

 

Does that mean if we don't recover the costs right away, you will refund some of the sales price?

What is the time frame for the guarantee? (I assume instant was an exagaration)

 

Well, I did not say "will make an instant return on any investment, guaranteed" if I said that, I would be very stupid... what I said is, "can make an instant return on any investment, guaranteed", there is a BIG difference between the word WILL and CAN. Basically what that sentence means is that even thought I don't know what kind of response I will get after all the interviews, one thing I do know for sure, is that there is a chance that this project can absolutely skyrocket! Based on my previous media attention, I can certainly say that with confidence.

Secondly, no this project does not have a reserve price, because if I put it, I in some way may undervalue my own project and put a limit on it. I want to see how much the users think it is worth, rather than what I think... I already had offers for $15,000 so that's a good sign.

 

The problem is there is too much work involved for the sie to be worth a while lot. It is a cookie cutter that needs to be cooked if you get what I mean.

 

Well, as an owner you obviously have to make sure that you take care of your business and treat it as your baby, on that I agree with you because nothing of value comes easy. But the bottom line is that the site comes with a professional music writer, lyric write and a singer so all the owner will have to do is "run the show" and fulfill customers needs and expectations. There is nothing extraordinary in this, it's like that with every other serious business, if you know what I mean.
