What do you prefer if you are a wage earner?

A Higher Salary but boring job or Small Salary but a very significant job? and why?

 

I'd go with the higher salary so I can save enough to achieve financial freedom and not having to work again

 

I'm in the unusual position of having sacrificed a higher paying job for one with lower salary, albeit better (more family friendly and less stressful) working conditions.

 

Unfortunately people have set it up in a way that money is the ONLY thing that matters in this world. Actually only a very few people benefits from this system, even rich people suffer from stress, illness, emptiness and even hate their lives sometimes. What we have to remember is that we only have one life and one chance to be real. Your memories will one day be all you have left not your money. The best things in life can not be bought, like a feeling of happiness or falling in love those things are priceless. We never have time to think about these things for greed, lust any envy is what drives as. I say, choose life and money won’t even matter to you.

 

Nice point Zack I believe that your credibility as a person is your happiness.
But lets not be impractical, of course I'll choose a higher salary! That will really help my family, thus, I can do more important things than that boring job you like to emphasis.It's more on 'how you handle the situation'.

I go for higher salary... getting a high salary without involving your brain much is really good..

 

i'd go for high salary.....work for 3-4 years,save money and then invest it for ur good for long term profit

 

Of course higher salary, work is for money, not for interest

 

Obviously salary plays an important role. Generally nobody does a job for entertainment or satisfaction - atlast its all about money.

Just like a rooted tree, as it have many branches any path can be selected, but it ends in a single root....

 

Money is not everything, I have given up a boring high paying job because it was too stressful.

 

Money is important. But so is your overall happiness, which money CAN'T buy (I don't care what anyone says to the contrary.) I would much rather have a low-stress job that allows me to spend time with the people I love and get paid less than a job where I make tons of money but dread going to work every day. As another poster mentioned above, we only have one life - working at a job you hate is a terrible way to waste that life, IMHO.

 

I perfer a higher salary...

 

I like to have a significant job but if the situation really need lots of money then I'll take the risk, I would prefer high salary .
