so basically, I am really good at researching and writing good, quality content when I take my time and just take things slowly step by step. Over the first months of earning money online, I have earned alright...however I am looking to take the next step forward. My goal is to divide this year up into 4 periods of time. Each 3 months I want to spend the first month just researching a new niche, the second month only writing content but not publishing it, and the third month posting all the work and working on seo. Than to add to this year long experiment, I am going to use blogger. Now I realize a lot of people think getting my own domain names with a simple .com and without the whole blogspot. junk is better and easier to get ranked up, but too be honest since I have started I've had two blogspot blogs ranked in the top 3 search results on topics that have 40 million + results. And I have seen other peoples blogspot blogs ranked #1 in much larger categories that contain 100m+ results. So the experiment will contain the following. 4 Niches, each divided up into 3 periods as stated before, all made on blogspot blogs, and all using simple SEO methods such as quality Keywords, A few good directories, and maybe 1-3 social bookmarking sites. Too be honest I've found if you just work with key words and having good content, getting placed in the top search results comes naturally. ANYWAYS ! so to get to the point of this question, and why it really belongs in the adsense section, I was wondering ... as far as adsense goes, and please don't suggest mesothelioma, what are some common niches known throughout google adsense as being "high paying niches". I really want my first 3 months to be devoted towards a health niche, in general based on "healthy diet, nutrition". Is this a decent paying niche ? seeing as this is really a year long experiment that I am putting a LOT of time into, I want to make sure I don't make the mistake of chosing an epic, extreme low paying niche. sorry for this thread becoming so wordy, I had a lot to say and a lot to ask. Anyone who responded to me the other day about the keyword/niche I had found, this was the one I was talking about. It is just this morning I started thinking about making this into a year long project, if it worked I could continue doing this through school (college) and easily be earning decent money by the time I am done with school (5-7 years).
Credit, Debt consolidation, Finance, Health, Insurance, Legal, Loans, Medical, Stock trading - Basically, anything that is expensive, or that has to do with money. These are the top-paying areas. .
thank you much, so I guess health WILL workout for my first niche. I'm not going to lie devoting an entire month to simply researching and not writing or publishing anything is going to be hard to do, especially the way I like to jump into things heh.
I don't quite agree with your logic. The search engines tend to like content that is dispersed over the course of time, not all at once. I recommend doing an (at least) weekly update with new content. As for a particular niche, health is pretty broad topic, I know health insurance is a decent paying kwp.
thanks sc, I suppose I could start out by posting 10-20 than 2 per day after that, which could last a while if I continue to write a few while im posting the 2 per day. I'm still tweaking what I'm going to do, but whatever it is, if it works, I will know what I need to do for years and years to come. I'm basically just trying to find a good method that maybe takes a lot of time, but also has a good return and assures I don't waste months on useless projects in the future.
If you are good on that, better go to finance, credit card or loan niche. Those niche is very good for adsense earning
Should be an interesting experiment. Sorry, I don't have any high paying keywords to share with you...
thanks life i'll look into those. I figure if I take the time to really learn about the niche I chose, write up a shit load of content, and start leaking it onto the thread daily. And on top of this maybe before I start write 5-10 articles that I think would be accepted into ezine articles and once I get 20+ post on the blog start submitting a few of the ezine articles. I could be looking at a decent amount of profit from one blog within 3 months of work. Which isn't bad if you continue to do it over and over again. I'm obviously not explaining the entire process I have planned but, but it seems like this could be something good for me in the end, in the coming months I'll keep you informed, and I'm still willing to listen to other good niche ideas that are generally high paying.
Hmmm, any suggestions on what types of loans to key up on. I was thinking student loans, or home loans. edit: YIKES, going to be hard to get a top spot in the search results for those exact keyword searches. you know your looking at a daunting task when you see the freddie mac website with PR 7 at the bottom of the search results on page 1 hah.
Do payday loans man, considering how lucrative that niche is there are no guys miles ahead on page one. It's definitely do-able. Property (with renting) is quite good as well, doesn't pay as much but you can target specific regions and the rankings will come pretty quickly for ya.
It is quite stupid to search for top paying keywords and so and so on... Finances and medical websites are good paying but hardly to get traffic. Celebrity is low paying with large number of traffic. I always try to create websites with good traffic and develop them and noticed that money can be get from each website. It doesn't matter if the average CPC is 0.30 USD, 0.10 USD or 1.00 USD. It is important to get many clicks.
still taking suggestions btw, not saying any are bad. Just looking to get all I can before locking down on one. + if the first 3 months go well than I will of course need more niches anyways.
fine, thanks for your input but like I said this is just something I'm trying. i've had websites generate 2,000 impressions daily and get 12-30 clicks and only make me $1-$2. If I could get a website that makes me $1+ per click and get 1-2 clicks daily....I'd already be on that same level. So basically I realize a lot of high paying niches are hard to get traffic on. But I'm actually surprisingly good with SEO and getting sites ranked up. But like I said, its an experiment. Can't learn things without trying eh ?
I recommend the finance niche - its good. But dont just stop with adsense - you can try leads too.Sometimes leads would give you a large income than the adsense. So just experiment with that and let us know your progress. And do not worry about search engines - i mean dont limit yourself regarding posting things in your blog.just post how much ever you can - concentrate on giving quality plus do seo too - that would be splendid.
thanks for the response ito, yes I will definitely be focusing mainly on offering quality content, than SEO.
by the way, not to be dumb but. What did ryan mean by "property (with renting)" ? what type of content would I have to provide ?
Renting in Norwich Renting in Southport ...and so on... You could create descriptions of the accommodation types/areas and throw up an Adsense unit above or at the side and it'll convert like crazy. Research classified ad sites and WIKI to give you all the info you need. Because you are targeting specific towns or citys, through keyword research you can easily dominate rankings in Google. A lot of SEO guys do this with "dating in Leeds" for example. Just an idea anyway, this would convert well and it would be considerably easier than competing in finance related niches.
