I was wondering, is there any possible way to tell when a domain is going to expire? Or possibly tell if the person who bought the domain has a recurring plan to keep purchasing it or not? I have a few domains in mind that I really could use, but people are using them as a redirect for their "pointless" pages. Is there anyway I could get such information on a domain name? Thanks in advance.
Thanks, Will that also tell you if the domain is on recurring bill? Like if it is automatically going to be paid for once the expiry date comes up? Anyone know about that?
All domainer's are wired, erratic, illogical, make incomprehensible buy/sell decisions, and need psychiatric help. There is no known way to predict their actions. Hopefully one of them will leave his brain to science.
Lol, that seriously made me laugh for a second. Well thanks for all the information guys. I do appreciate it. I guess best thing I can do is email the registrar of the domain. Thanks again.
you can make a backorder for these domains from some registraration sites. be careful of sites you choose as i know some sites charge expensive to you. i made a script for the domains i wanted. one domain took nearly 5 months to become ready to purchasesince its expiry. theres no known good formla for getting the names you want.
I'd suggest downloading Bill Weinman's BW whois here: http://whois.bw.org/ The expiration date shows in a whois. As to telling what a person's intentions are? Impossible without asking them. Even if they do not renew the domain, it sits in a unregisterable state for 60 days during which time they can renew it by paying an additional fee to get it out of redemption. Stay away from these pay waiting lists, and other BS. Your best bet is to either find something else, or ask the current owner if they would like to sell their domains. Lastly, if you have a trademarked name that someone is using, you may have a legal right to claim the domain.
Hi everybody! I had a domain about 4 years ago. After a couple of mouths I returned it and now I see my name as a registrant for this domain in the whoisbucket database.... But this domain belongs somebody else, not me. I called my domainseller and he told, in his database is the right information. Than I tried to update or to delete the whoisbucket information with the buttons on the right side. But it didn't work... I also don't find some contact button on the whoisbucket homepage. And when I google my name for example appears every time this Whoisbucket homepage with the wrong information.. Please can somebody help me?
If I understand you correctly, you had registered a domain then chose not to renew it - now someone else has it? If that is the case, there is no help to be given. That's just the way it works. Unless you have some intellectual property and or trademark infringement issue, the domain belongs to someone else until they decide not to renew it, or you buy it from them.
By checking the WHOIS information by checking with a site like www.IPShark.net (my site) and looking for the Expiration date will let you know when it expires, but as for if the owner has a recurring plan for it, you cannot find that information.. at least not publicly available.
Good morning, First, thanks for your answers! @Mia: hi Mia, this is right, now somebody else has the domain. And I don't want it back.. And although I had this domain about 4 years ago, Whoisbucket didn't update the information in the last 4 years and my name is standing under this domain.. And that appears in google. @Helge: I just don't want, that my name, my street, my company's name appears as owner from some domain, which is in ownership from somebody else... And the update and delete buttons on whoisbucket's site don't work.. There is no contact button..
Here you can submit a complain to ICANN regarding incorrect whois data: http://www.icann.org/en/resources/compliance/complaints/whois/inaccuracy-form
Thanks both of you very much! @drgurmeet: I'm not sure, that it works, beacause this domain doesn't beklong to me anymore. but i will write there and ask @pachecus: i wrote there, now i'm wating to see results but i will write, when i know whether it worked!
