Just noticed the new PR for one of my sites, from having been a PR4 since 2005, I dropped to a PR3. So bummed, hopefully, it's just another one of Google's unstable updates. Did you notice any changes on your PR today?
negative... and i am looking for some changes to go down with a bunch of backlinks i setup google has been dropping pagerank much more often than increasing from what i see
I read somewhere in this forum that Google seems to update PRs every 28th / 29th of the month now, I guess that person knew what he was talking about. Still bummed about my PR-drop though.
hmm ill be on the lookout on those dates but def dont get sad about dropping pr buddy. PR3 is still very respectable. Some people are dropping from a high PR straight to zero if google doesnt like them...
Not today but 3 days back I got higher page rank in one of my blog. I think the updation of page rank is still going on.
I personally think that the PR is updating quite often these days. Google is updating the visible PR very often. Looks like the time is near when PR will update everyday
i'm a newbie, would like to advice from the webmaster. What causes Google PageRank so down? the case: after follow some paid review program, i saw my PR go down may be because of that? or else how to re:increase back my PR?
Ye, paid review program is giving negative impact to the PR, google will penalize your PR when they found that you are involving in paid review program
you should currenly update your web content, unik and original also you have to submit to other directory or search engine.
None of my websites have changed, might be a minor update or simply a false alarm !! However, am sorry for your lose.. but maybe it's the time for you to start focusing on more important things like SERP's and what is really helpful for your website visitors
In most cases because a website gets catch for selling links, but you might also consider checking your website backlinks just in case if you've lost any important ones or simply the sites/pages linking to your website have a drop in their PR
Paid review could definitely be the culprit. When optimizing one should never really look at PR as being the be-all and end-all to their seo/sem practices. It's just a rough 'authority' gauge. By creating unique content that visitors actually want to see will in turn get you those inbound links and the more quality inbound links the higher your page will rank. Always optimize for the user, not for the SE.
