IS raffle ticket selling allowed on DP?

I was woundering If we would be allowed to sell raffel tickets on DigitalPoint forums. I want to raffel off a Service such as xhtml/css.

No, raffles and lotteries are not official gambling (at least in the UK - not sure about other countries) like you can enter the lottery here at 16 but can't gamble until 18.

 

You normally need a licence from the council to have a raffle here in the UK. We're living in a nanny state you know.

I can get the proper licenses, also not a cash prize.

 

If it's a physical raffle ticket for an actual lottery or raffle, physical items are not permitted.

If it's a virtual raffle, I don't even think those would be legal in any country.
