I downloaded Error Fix in order to see what the difference between the trial version & the full version is. Unfortunately, I found nothing different between them. I am confused and want to know why Error Fix can provide a 30-day trial version. Every affiliate knows that the users may clean the cookies during the 30 days. Moreover, the software itself can clean the cookies itself. When the users buy the software, we earn nothing, Error Fix earns all money. Can anybody tell me why they can do this? I will never promote a product like this one. Why the Error Fix does this to steal our money?
I don't know anything about the product, and how it works, but they do have a gravity of 91. If they removed the affiliate cookies, they would not have such a high gravity Go to: http://www.cb-analytics.com/product.php?id=ERRFIX And look at the 'reffered' percentage. It's 74%. 74% of the sales were affiliate sales. Simply look at the facts, go to: http://www.cb-analytics.com/search.php?q=registry You'll see that the registry cleaner products have a referred rate of 60-75% which is considerably lower than the standard ebook. Most Clickbank products have a referred rate of 90% or even more. My Conclusion is that they most probably don't deliberately steal commissions, but because of the nature of the product, it is prone to getting sales without affiliates credited to them, and the registry products in general, are more prone to having your commission lost, and the vendor getting the whole amount.
Error Fix started this yesterday. So I think the gravity will drop soon. The gravity yesterday is 93, it is 91 today, so you can see it drops.
Those are normal fluctuations, But they're referred percentage is dropping, which is something an affiliate should be worried about. This is the referred graph percentage for errorfix: As you can see it has been gradually dropping. Just talk to the vendor, I wouldn't call anyone a scammer, just make sure you hear both sides of the story, don't jump to conclusions.
To Ripped, your information is helpful for me. I searched in Google and find that the Error Fix provides users with some fake functions. It would be one reason why affiliates stop promoting it.
The best thing to do is test it out for yourself. Use your own affiliate link to download the product, use it for a few days, and then go to the purchase page and see if your clickbank ID is still at the bottom of the page.
Your cbid being gone could be from a number or different reasons, publishers arent stupid enough to just go change their program, steal commissions, then lose their affiliate base. Now instead of getting Free traffic they their advertising cost go through the roof, for what, 2-3 months of "stealing".
They began their 30-day trival version plan from July 10, and their gravity is reducing day by day. On July 12, their gravity was 92, and today it has reduced to 89.
When I saw the information on http://complaintsboard.com/complaints/error-fix-c227083.html, I didn’t believe that at the beginning. In order to make it out, I installed and ran Error Fix. To my surprise, it told me that my Adobe was the latest version. Then I installed Adobe Reader 8.0, and ran Error Fix. As a result, the scan result told me that my Adobe was the latest version. Obviously, Error Fix provides a false function. As an affiliate, I will not promote this kind of product. If I do that, it will not only make me lose much money, but also will hurt the users’ benefits.
If you have evidence of this, then you need to present it to clickbank. I'm sure they would want to know that a product being sold is circumventing the affiliate payment process. This is one reason why clickbank needs to start moving away from a cookie based affiliate system.
I hope cb can develop a system which is not based on cookies as soon as possible. Thus we can minimize our loss as an affilitate.
After further investigation of registry clean software, I found regtool and errorfix both belong to the same company. They also provide the 30-day trival version( which has the same functions with the full version.) So we should not waste our money on these 2 software programs and then choose others.
You have 14 posts on this forum. Pretty much all of them are bashing this company. I'll always believe a vendor with high gravity over some pissed off newbie with no evidence. If you're going to accuse someone of "stealing" you should have evidence to back it up (and one anecdotal story isn't evidence).
