Multiple Domains, Same Content

Hello if i have a .co.uk and a .co.nz domain with the same content would it be possible to get the .co.uk in the uk google and not the nz ?

and would it be possible to get the NZ domain in the google.co.nz and not in the google.co.uk ?

Or will the content still be classed as dupe and penalize one of them ?

Multiple Domains, Same Content is a bad idea overall.

    Per Google:

Many sites make the same content available via different URLs. Say you have a clothing site and one of your top items is a green dress. The product page for the dress may be accessible through several different URLs, especially if you use session IDs or other parameters:

Actually Google recently said they can distinguish sites that are targeting different territories with similar content.

I don't think so.. If that's right, My blogs should have came out of penalties a long ago.
Anyway, can you share the source of that news?

Only one domain will get rewarded or even stays indexed and ranking (the one with most backlinks) ;)

This concept can work for different language websites but you are giving example for english websites. I think, you should use google geo targeting services because by this features you can get ranking at different places with one domain...for example..abc.com/uk, abc.com/nz, abc.com/ireland, abc.com/canada.

Yes, this will be duplicate content. If you have multiple domains with content in different languages, that is ok. But multiple domains and same content means a penalty.

Kinda sorta, actually. They'll just take the content that's more relevant to the region the user is making the query from and use that. So if someone's in the UK, they'll be far more likely to get the .co.uk site rather than the .co.nz one (and vice versa).

Of course, that's also a great reason why localized incoming links are so important - to distinguish WHERE the domain really is in the grand scheme of things.

I think Google is smart enough to figure out duplicated content.
