I created my first blog on blogspot. I just want to know how can i get traffic for my blog and how can i index it on Search engines (specially google)? Thanks CB
Hi "Cuteboy", Blogspot is owned by Google, so it gets picked up by the Googlebot pretty quickly. To broadcast it more widely and get it crawled quickly you can "ping" your post. Go to pingomatic.com or pingler.com and add your URL and press ping. It's that easy and free of course. If your post has good keywords with little competition then you should hopefully get some traffic from the search engines alone. Longer term though, you need to put some work in with all the usual techniques... Probably the easiest for blog posts is social bookmarking. Have a look at Stumbleupon, Digg, Technorati, Delicious etc. Good luck, Sam

Also keep doing commenting and posting on social bookmarking websites. they work wonders if your content is good

Social Bookmarking is most likely the most sure way to get traffic, not necessarily for the long term but you can get some traffic almost instantly...
