I noticed this morning that for a few keywords, youtube rocked on Google, it even beat a site with sitelinks, I think those guys who are promoting on youtube must get huge traffic. Guys, are you planning to take advantage of this FREE resource?
I know how to promote on youtube it is pretty easy. I Could tell you guys if you want me to tell you how to gain mass amounts of traffic from youtube i can tell you but i want banner ad space on your webiste for some time. i actualy have thought of making a list of ways to promote for like 5 bucks actualy im thinking about that.
Well, it is owned by Google. The problem is that marketing with videos isn't the easiest thing to do and the links are nofollow. Yahoo Answers also ranks extremely well, but again nofollow links.
You know, nofollow is not as what it was, matt said in his blog that Google's going to make some changes, and it may finally not work,. Also even nofollow really works, you can get good traffic from youtube and yahoo answers, escpecially when it rank top on a competitive keyword, which you could not compete in the short time with your own website. So be it for backlinks or traffic, youtube is a good source, right?
Test it out mate, even alot of crap on there soaks up thousands of visits. The headlines are v important.
Actually I´m interested to push one or two Youtube videos in a quite specific keyword in Google. In usualy Google search my pages rank high, but not in "Video search", while a small competitor (with no SEO experience) is doing well. Anyhow the usual way of building some links didn´t show the expected result. So there seem to be more factors in placement, which I don´t know. Has anyone some experience how to do it ?? What´s the trick?
Google Loves Youtube! One of my successful site has 'youtube' on its url and title and it has worked wonders for me.
In my opinion you are not right here. Depending on your keyword there is a certain lower or higher share of people looking for videos. If you offers a product or service, you have to find these people - or your competitor gets them!! What is strange for me, that the usual type of linking some youtube videos does not show the expected results, they are still in the nowhere. How does Google "sort" Youtube videos??? By technical quality / size ? duration? Followers? Comments?
True, this can be included in your promotion methods as Google now ranks YouTube videos everywhere. However, in some niches, based on my exp, even when your video gets a lot of views, people do not click or type the URL of your website even after they watch the video. Even when they come into your site, they still won't buy anything. But again, this is just for some niches.
