Hello everyone I'm the owner of http://www.earningonlinemoney.com
Thank you to all you guys who have answered my other topics. I have learned a lot and got lots of useful information and tips on how to improve my site and what you, the people, want.

So.. I have a few ideas for what I can do for my site.. such as changing the entire template/design to something easier on the eyes and maybe switching to wordpress so it will be easy to add content since I am in need for adding lots of content. And I would remove majority of the ads so when I actually get a click it will be worth more and it will look less spammy.

But.. I'm wondering if it's worth it to continue doing these things and adding to my site. I'm pretty happy with it just because it's my first site and it's something to call my own and I can spend time working on and keeping busy. I've earned only $3 from the site in one week lol with about 700-800 page impressions in one week. And my targeted keyword only pulls in 8700 searches per month.. is it worth it? My google position has moved from being on second page to first page then back down to second page in the 11th or 12th position.

So is it worth it to keep adding to this site? It's going to take a huge amount of time.. I'm trying not to be like everyone else that's wanting to make money now now now fast.. but I wish I could see more results or motivation lol. My friends and family are starting to wonder if it is worth it to put so much work into such a small idea.. my site is based on making $15-$40.. not many people would be willing to follow through with anything for a measily $15-$40 eh.. so if I was to start over.. it'd take just as much time to do that as it would to fix up my current site.. Maybe I could have a better niche.. but I don't have much knowledge of anything profitable...

So what do you guys think? Should I keep working on www.earningonlinemoney.com?

Or should I create a new website in a different niche?

Or do you guys have any other suggestions for me to make money online or something I could do or work towards in the long term? Feel free to post or pm.

I'm hoping it's not too huge of a goal but I'd like to make $100 by December. Lol $25 a month should be easy eh. Just gotta have an idea of what to do.. hm..

I was just wondering if it is worth my time to work on this project if my time could be worth 5-10 times more working on something else. I don't see myself giving up as long as there's progress. I see progress with this. But maybe I could see more progress with something else?

Did I choose a bad keyword to base my site on if it has only 8700 searches per month?

I am working on offsite seo haha slowly but surely.

I think you need better SEo at first. Just complete this site. Then you should get better revenue.
I also recommend you to start some more sites in different niches after finishing this one. More sites = more visitors = more money.

You need a squeeze box mate. Collect email addresses, build relationships. Then can you offer them stuff that you know they would want.

    All about creating value.

    Hello,
I really think you should work at the look of the site. Why ? Ii is the first step to improve your "online bussines" skils, it will be helpfull for you even for others projects. After this start the SEO : first read lot of documentations and then do what is best for your site.
Now: why you should not abbandon the project ? Because this is your first project, it is an experimental one. You started you finish it , you learn someting, and with a little luck you ll make even some money.
My point is that you have to test first how does this bussines works. If this is the bussines for you, so u'll learn it no matter what site you have,
    Best Regards,
    Cosmin

I don't think you should start a whole new site and shut this one down. It would take you as much time to start all over again to get to the point you are at right now.

If I were in your place I would just keep the current content and just add a blog on the main page, as in, post an article every day, or every other day, with something related to your niche, or just finance, money, investing, debt, anything like that. People will start coming back, you will start earning more money.

I visited your site the first time you posted a thread here, the other day, and I reviewed all the content in about 15 minutes. When I came back the following day it was all the same, nothing new, no updates, nothing. I'm not likely to come back to your site again, but if you were to start blogging daily, I would most definitely come back again, and probably click on a few ads. I am sure a lot of people think of your site that way.

Wow guys! Thank you so very much! I just woke up and checked this thread and these are probably the best answers I've ever received. I really love this forum and it's people. I came here because a teacher told me it is best to learn from those who have already done what I plan to do. Thank you guys. I have a question. For those of you that have like 12 sites and stuff.. people want to see updated content so they keep coming back for more. If it's not an ecommerce site and it's not a dating service or membership/forum run by other people.. then how do you get them to keep coming back? Do you write new content for 12 different sites? 12 blog entries a day on different topics? Do people do that? That'd be a brain workout lol

What do you mean better SEO at first? Hm.. making money online is a over-saturated niche or so I'm told. So I tried to choose a keyword that is searched enough with not as much competition. I dunno if 8700 is enough but I thought it was a good goal for me to start with.. I found the keyword by doing bum marketing research actually.. I still have a lot to learn.. I still don't understand why my google search position is moving so much. Started at 17.. next day it was 9.. then 11 then 12 then 14 then 15 then now it's at 8 on the first page! this encourages me that I can get number 1 someday :D thank you I will do that. I will finish this site then expand to other niches and sites.

squeeze box? Like an opt-in form? I planned to do this someday.. I guess I should have done it from the start? But what would I send them? Must be very hard to continually come up with new content and write a big extensive quality blog entry several times a week and a newsletter and more :(

Yea, I asked for a review on my site and I got a huge amount of people saying I need to work on my sites design and layout. I really liked your answer ty. I will do this and work on it. I agree, in doing just this one I have learned so much. So I just need to keep adding content and improving it and I will learn more and more. Everyone who is very successful seems to have taken on average 4-8 years to become extremely successful. Yea learn it no matter what site I have. I just sometimes feel like I chose a bad thing to make a website about. About making an extra $15-$40 online? lol with freebie networks. It excited me at first.. but It's a lot harder than I thought it would be. Out of 840 website views only 1 person has signed up and she didn't finish it. And only one person emailed me lol

Thank you bigtime2 your reply was my favorite :D true it would take just as much time to start a new one as it took to get to where I am now. I guess that's a bad characteristic I have.. even in playing games. If there are several different characters I want to try them all! When I played world of warcraft.. for a whole year.. I made 36 different characters.. took me a year to finish one.. when it would take someone else 2 months. Because I made every single character. lol Just something horrible to share about myself.

Yea, I remember you posting in my other threads. And I looked at your blog, I think I even pm'd you. Your blog is really nice and you posted one blog entry per day for 3 days in a row. Then another one a day before that.

That's like the best idea I've ever heard :p I was going to place the blog on earningonlinemoney.com/blog but.. instead I could put it on the first page so people can come and see the content that's being updated all the time :D yay thank you for the great idea! Haha thinking about this ran a rush of excitement through me.

Thank you, that encourages me to start blogging my butt off lol

Thank you everyone for your great replies.

    bigtime2 offers some sound advice.

Start researching and start expanding your content like crazy. Without any offsite SEO, just simply adding a bunch of content could drastically increase your rankings in the search engines.

I voted you should keep working on the site! Your domain name is good and you could really pull in some serious traffic if you just had more content.

You could update the design if you wanted to but I would focus the most on content. Overall, your site has a lot of potential and over time could make you some nice money. Just keep working on it and brainstorming ideas, WRITE THEM DOWN and then go down the list and complete all of them.

    I'm glad I could help.

Either if you create earningonlinemoney.com/blog or just put it on the first page it gives people a chance to come back again.
