Wordpress is amazing for SEO. I created a blog just a few days ago and with about 5 backlinks it got to the first page for my keyword - ~1.5 million competing results. The only two plugins you need for SEO are the All in One SEO Pack and the Google Sitemap creator.

I've integrated the wordpress system into my existing site with great results. Works well with static type pages as well as articles and blogging. I use Platinum SEO Pack with work great. I've very happy with the usability of wordpress as well as the SEO functionality of it.

looks like everyone agreed so far... So i guess we can say that WP is SEO-friendly with those plugins only right?... Would it be correct to say that the credit goes to the plugins' developers?

Which bring to this question... would it be still SEO-friendly without those plugins?

I believe it would be mostly friendly, though you will run into duplicate content issues.

Just a quick heads up here - the number of pages indexed by Google is NOT a measure of how competitive a keyword is. I've seen keywords that have tens or even hundreds of millions of pages indexed containing those terms that nobody is actively optimizing for. That tells me there's no competition for those keywords.

There are two factors that should determine how competitive (and desirable) a keyword is (when conducting an "EXACT" search with Google's keyword tools). The average search volume for that keyword per month, and the number of people actively optimizing for that keyword. The easiest way to determine that is to look at the inanchor, inurl, and intitle counts, add them up, and divide by 3. 0-49 is easy, 50-299 is medium, 300+ is hard.

Of course that won't do any good if nobody's looking for a particular keyword.

What if i wanted to take my blog from blogger to word press.

Would it be bad if just coppied my blog from blogger and put it on word press?

Im getting hits im just wondering if theres a moral issue with that?

When importing your blog to wordpress, just make sure the pages indexed are permanently redirected (301 redirect) to avoid duplicate content. I've never done it before though, maybe someone else can chime in?

wordpress is really a good blogging site, but its really very strict with it TOS. a small mistake and your blog is banned. so be careful. its good that without SEO techniques you site was ranking high on google but wt i feel is that because of the keywords you have targeted. the keyword "iphone" is very popular now a days. so this might be the reason your blog is ranking high.

That's WordPress.COM not .ORG - the .org is self-hosted and you can do just about whatever you want with it.

Btw, your results are very normal and do not indicate exceptional SEO handling at any cases.

Well to make wordpress more user friendly and achieve higher SERPs, the permalink structure plays a major role. Just select the custom structure and input "/%postname%/" in those blank spaces. This is the most basic SEO for wordpress.
