    DP have a general chat section but they will give you an infraction for an affiliate link. What are they based on china they need to control everything. They like to make money but seems they hate people making any profit. i bet this post will get deleted coz they don't like it.

    DP administrators are just plain hypocrite.

    Do you know what hypocrite means? It's always been a rule here and administrators follow the same rules.

    Did you bother to read what you wrote? Because it sounds absurd to me. We hate for anyone to make a profit from anything, but we love to take advantage of you and make money off you (see all our affiliate links and ads we overload the forum with?) {rolls eyes}

    Does China allow affiliate links on their government forums? I'm not sure where the correlation is there.

    Yeah, affiliate links allow you to express an unfettered opinion about the quality of the product :)

    Did you actually read the agreement upon signing up? It says grow up and learn that there is no such thing as freedom. Spamming is illegal and Shawn has every right to ban you for stupidity.

    Whilst your on the boat you gotta obey the captain!

    Read the rules - it'll save you getting infractions. If you don't like it you are always free to start your own webmaster forum where people can post affliate links to their hearts content!

    Sure, the mods get it wrong sometimes, their only human. But there's a good reason for not allowing affliate links to be placed all over the place. Especially in general chat.

    Hate to break it to you, but "free speech" doesn't apply to privately owned communities. Just because the public has access to something, it doesn't make it legally a public place. Private organizations are allowed to limit speech if they please (which is why you can't picket at most malls, can't say and do whatever you want in private schools, and yes it applies to businesses too - even online). Is there free speech on the Internet? Sure, you could say it. It's the ability for you to start your own site to say whatever you want. But when you do that, you also have the right to limit others' speech on that site (such as moderating spam comments or abusive language). What you choose to moderate or ban is completely up to you, just as it is for Shawn here.

    Dude.. You need to read the rules. Check this topic

    Sometimes DP is irritating. But if you follow the rules it's not. Chill and move ahead(Advice from the Underground members).

    Good start - now learn some English.

    Should be:

    or

    Which doesn't even make sense, since I don't see Shawn going around bumping threads and posting affiliate links - so it doesn't make him a hypocrite for banning people who do it.
