How to bring site in top10 google ranking

    Hi all,
    I am new in the field of seo
    I want to know that how much time is generally required to bring the website
    in top 10 of google ranking which is currently comes under 1000 google ranking

    there are 1.160.000 site listing of the keyword i want to optimize

    plz give your expert comments on this..

    Pick a different keyword(s) or keyword phrase to move up quickly. Put the time and energy into your keyword research so you don't have that much competition.

    On the other hand, find a way to buy your traffic and establish your authority. But, chances are, with high competition the cost of buying your traffic will also be high.

    I agree with the above poster, do more research on your keword phrase and find one that has less fewer than 20,000 competitors. There are plenty of free keyword tools out there to help you. After that, then you build your backlinks and other promotions to get traffic.

    If you want to go after it then it will really take long time. You have to build trust and lots of related backlinks.

    They say anything over 1 million results is competitive, but depending on the search term you are using can depend on how long it takes to reach google first page.

    How long it takes can depend on how many hours you can put in and how quick you work.

    I would look at it another way, 90% of websites have no seo anyway so never think 1 million results in 1 million.

    Ok, you have more than 1 million results for your keyword phrase, type it in and look down the results say on page 2.

    Find a result on page 2 that links through to thier homepage.

    copy the name of that website down.

    Go to yahoo explorer and type the name of the site in the top search box and then you will get a load of results appear.

    click on the tab that says inlinks.

    then choose from the drop down menu not from this url.

    this will tell you how many incoming links that site has.

    then all you need to do is build more links or more quality links than they have.

    Don;t forget to use the keyword phrase in your incoming links as much as possible though.

    Is this on Yahoo? I would like to try this with some of my keywords but am not familiar with Yahoo Explorer. What is the link? (I don't use Yahoo much at all)
