The problem started when my friend changed the resolution of his PC via the INTEL GRAPHICS -->> Display properties. He is using a 15" Monitor and changed the resolution to more than 1200. After that When he started his PC.. after disc checking nothing came and his monitor showed "OUT OF FREQUENCY" Then he removed the RAM n fixed it again but now got another problem. Now Disc checking is not running and stops after 58%. What could be the problem ? And how to solve it ? - Digital -
1024x768 is maximum resolution for 15 inches monitor, so just chance the settings, 1200 resolution for 19 inches LCD monitors.
During the boot up process, press F8 and choose Last Known Good Configuration. If that doesn't work, enter a Safe Mode and uninstall the display driver. Then restart the PC and install back the display driver and set the display resolutions to some supported value which zymon_king had mentioned (1024x768 is maximum resolution for 15 inches monitor). - Dynashox -
I suggest the same... If it doesn't work,Reinstall the windows... Things will get back to normal then..
Well, he changed it to 800 x 600 resolution but even then nothing happened. I mean when that CPU was connected to a 17" monitor it worked and I changed the resolution to 800/600. But when again he connected that CPU to his 15" it again showed "OUT OF FREQUENCY" Is there any problem in his monitors connecting wires? - Digital -
Most of the monitors have "Reset" function in thee monitor menu. Check the buttons on monitor and use this to reset the monitor.
Hey, Apart from resolution, there is frequency setting like 50Hz, 60Hz, 75Hz, 80Hz. Choose some lower one first and if it wont work, trial and error. May be this helps you. Otherwise, an OS reinstall would help.
may be problem with the graphics driver not sure of it...well if i see anything like this i will better format my system and install new OS
As the other member said (hipnol), I guess you had accidentally changed the monitor refresh rate. Try reducing it to the next lowest level. It may work properly. In regards to the disk checking stopping @ 58% - try reinstalling your OS. I guess your system files may have been corrupted.
Hey I can help you easily Start your pc Keep pressing F8 In the boot menu select Enable Vga Mode Now Reduce the resolution to the lowest not via property menu.Do it by going to intel gma icon on the taskbar.
